Father of UFC owners passes away

Frank Fertitta Jr., the father of Lorenzo Fertitta and Frank Fertitta III, the owners of Zuffa, LLC, parent company of both the UFC and WEC, passed away today following heart surgery.  He was 71.

Fertitta Jr., was a major player in the Las Vegas casino game, opening up The Casino in 1976, which now known as the Palace Station Casino.  The company, which his sons have been running, now has 18 different area casinos.
