Let me first send out congratulations to Nick Blomgren, who is known around town as One Kick Nick, one of the most respected trainers in all of Las Vegas. Nick will be running another amateur show on December 18, but this time he will be at the beautiful
Green Valley Ranch Hotel & Casino. Nick recently moved his "One Kick's Gym" over to 3950 E Sunset. His two star pupils are Steve Cantwell and Dewey Cooper. Nick, Dewey and I will be in the upcoming movie "
Strong Arm", directed by Michael Lazar. Dewey sure got into character, as he brought 17 changes of clothes for the three scenes he shot. Here are links to "Strong Arm" and a fun clip of One Kick:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqOBhybVVrc. Good to see some local people with some people skills running shows here in town.....Speaking of amateur shows, Tuff-N-Uff returns the day after Thanksgiving to the
Orleans Arena.
Dana White showed up to their last one (his cousin was fighting on the show). Show will be headlined by former playboy 2004 model of the year
LaTasha Marzolla. I talked to a guy who works for the promotion about a month ago who told me that LaTasha was working as
a dancer at the Olympic Gardens here in town. I've been doing it for 3 years (well......as a VIP Host) at various clubs and the money is right....Another gym opening, this time at the
Gold's Gym on Eastern/Serine. They have the cage set up and it looks to be almost done. I was told by a few people that Vinny Magalhaes (from the
Ultimate Fighter) will be one of the instructors...Randy Couture will be running a 3 day training camp on
November 20, 21 and 22. Limited to 40 spots and the cost is $500.....
Wanderlei Silva will be holding an extensive training program from November 14-24, for athletes looking to be a part of the Wand Fight Team. The training will be for 10 days and end with a non-commissioned fight. The cost of this will run you $1,000 and will include food, housing and transportation. This is part of his reality show project. If interested you can contact them at

. BTW, Wandy, your protein is still on hold behind the counter! Stop by anytime.
FINAL THOUGHTS: Really enjoyed UFC 104. My boy Cain Velasquez is on his way to the top. Way back in January of this year, I mentioned on
Tough Talk that he would dominate the two fights he will have in 2009 and be the UFC champ in early 2010. He is on his way....Congrats to
Phil Baroni (although he isn't gonna be happy until
Joe Rogan is interviewing him AFTER the fight) for making the TV portion of the UFC 106 PPV. Phil is a good guy and we wish him the best.....I had the Shogun/Machida fight 4-1 in favor of Shogun. He was robbed and robbed badly. Cecil Peoples, who some have told me is a good guy, should be kept off all UFC shows. This guy can't get anything right. The common theme that I have noticed is if you watch a fight and score it 29-28 for someone, nine times out of ten Cecil will have it 30-27 going the other way. He did an interview this week defending his actions and said "if you don't like it you can kiss my ass". Very nice Cecil. You may be a good guy, but you suck major prick as a judge.....
That's it for this blog. I should be back up before the WEC show on
November 18 (which I will be covering live for the website). Don't forget to listen to
Tough Talk Radio with myself and Oliver Copp. If you live in
Las Vegas, stop by my store (Las Vegas Nutrition) at 9075 S Eastern Ave (in the LVAC parking lot). Hours are 7am-9pm. I'm there a few days a week and will take care of any of you that mention this blog......even you Cecil....Take care.....
