KEVIN CASEY vs. CHAD VANCE (MW)
Vance is 35, a wrestler, 7(3KO,3sub)-3. Casey 28, a Rickson student, a self styled rapper who enters to hos own 'music', 2(1sub)-1 and has a huge edge in reach although shorter. He claims there is no need to crosstrain and Rickson JJ will defeat everything.
Casey lefty. Clinch right away. Vance hiptoss but Casey takes back. Pancake. One arm choke, other one pounding. RNC and immediate tap. Vance acting like a jackass, shoving people. Casey yelling and profiling to his lousy music. Both these guys could go away.
RAFAEL FEIJAO CAVALCANTE vs. AARON ROSA (LHW)
Feijao needing the win bad after the upset to Mike Kyle last time. Rosa no chump. Feijao looks in much better shape than he was vs. Kyle. 28, 7(6KO,1sub)-2. Anderson in the corner. Rosa on a 3 fight streak, 26, 12(5KO,3sub)-2, trains with Tito, edge in height and reach. Looks a tad heavy.
Rosa aggressive early. Clinch. Feijao pushes Rosa against the fence, knees the legs. Legtrip, pounds from ride, Rosa right up. Feijao working from clinch again. Ref could break this. Doesn't though. Finally does. Rosa misses, Feijao comes in behind a right lead and clinches. Footstomp. Trading knees. Feijao tries a TD, Rosa defends with whizzer. Rosa with some stomps. Dirty boxing inside. Total inside fight. Feijao 10-9.
Rosa short with his punches. Feijao in behind a 2-1 and back to the clinch. Rosa pushes off. Both winging. Rosa LK. Feijao 1-2 flying knee, elbow, TD. FG. Rosa octopusing. Feijao drops an elbow. Illegal, ref standup, warning, no point. Feijao right lead, KD with knee to the head. Rosa's hurt. Feijao jumps on it and finishes with strikes.
ERIK APPLE vs. BOBBY VOELKER (WW)
Dead crowd livens up for local Voelker, 20(12KO,3sub)-7. Apple also 30, 10(4KO,5sub)-1 with the only loss to Brock Larson, but has been very inactive. Babalu and Barnett in the corner. Gives up reach.
Apple drops Voelker right away and pounds. Almost looked done and like the second shot (which was to the back of the neck btw as Voelker was falling) might have woken him up, like the old Sleeper spot. TD. Up in clinch. Apple doing damage. Break. Apple right back to clinch. Break and punchout. Apple TD. HG. Voelker cagewalks up. Another punchout. Apple shoots, almost gets Guillotined, clinch. Apple banging away with knees. Voelker legtrip TD. Pounds from HG. Apple gets FG. Voelker pounds away till the bell. Apple 10-9 but Voelker finished strong.
Both wing away. Voelker getting more in. Apple clinches, Voelker legtrip TD to HG. Apple may be gassed but drives to his feet. Clinch, break. Voelker drops Apple again. stays out of any kind of guard, and pounds away till the ref steps in. Fun scrap, if a tad sloppy.
KIM COUTURE vs. KERRY VERA (BW)
Yes, Vera-Couture 2, right? LOL. Kerry has legit Muay Thai and boxing bg and I think figures to beat the shit, to put it mildly, out of Kim who has shown toughness but little aptitude in her first two fights, and reclaim the family honor (even though Kim and Randy are divorced). Haw. Kim is 33, 1(1KO)-1, hasn't fought in a year. Kerry 27, 1-0 in MMA. Kim has an inch in height and 4 in reach.
Kerry catching Kim coming in. Clinch. Kerry knees the head. Kim gets outta Dodge. Kim telegraphs, clinches. Kerry elbows her twice on the break. Kerry much more accurate. Rocks Kim with a counter. Kim looks confused. Clinches. Kerry does all the landing, rocks Kim on the break, opens up against the fence and Kim cringes and crumples as the ref steps in. No contest.
RUDY BEARS vs. TYRON WOODLEY (WW)
Woodley undefeated at 5-0 all subs and super impressive. Elite wrestler who seems to be absorbing JJ like a sponge. This might be a very good fight but Woodley just too talented. Both guys are more or less local. Bears is 31, a kickboxer, has an edge in height and reach, and on a 6 fight streak, 10(4,4)-3. Tyron is 27, ex 4 year All American wrestler, training at ATT.
Rudy lefty. Tyron therefore throws the right lead. Rudy clinches. Bad idea. Tyron TD. HG. Mount. Back but Rudy slips out and up. Tyron knees from clinch and misses a hail mary right lead. Rudy HK blocked and Tyron dumps him again and going for the arm tri from HG. Passes to side. That's all she wrote. WATCH THIS GUY.
