-- A couple of notes from the Q&A yesterday with Dana White. He said if Rashad beats Thiago Silva in January than his next fight would be against Quinton Jackson, which is kind of a 180 from the impression White gave last weekend when asked about Quinton. He also admitted to meeting with Shane McMahon but refused to talk about what the meeting was about, only saying that they were good friends.
-- For whatever it's worth, Brock Lesnar's jiu jitsu coach, Rodrigo "Comprido" Medeiros, told TMZ.com that Brock would be able to return to fighting in about six months.
-- We've got results from the first Hulkamania show on the front page right now. Hogan made it through the first match and it sounds like he didn't end up taking any bumps at all. Both guys bled like crazy before Hogan used a pair of brass knux that Flair had brought into the ring for the KO. Jason wrotes: Very safe match by both, at this rate Hogan will last the 4 shows.
-- Jay writes: My buddy just emailed me from Australia and boy his is LIVID. He paid $350 for a pair of ringside seats for the Hulkamania event taking place in Melbourne. He just discovered that those seats are now selling for $100 through the Ticketek website. Plus, "buy one, get one" tickets on the rest of the tickets. Hulk doing a BOGO? Are you kidding me??? It's a sad state of affairs when a legend like Hulk resorts to this. The loyal fans that bought their tickets early are getting screwed.
-- Chris adds: Well I'm glad I paid $150 for my ticket as I've been given 10 free tickets and I have a few friends who can claim the same. Also Ticketek are calling people and upgrading their seats to better sections. Apparently a few of the wrestlers were claiming only a 'few thousand' tickets had sold-and this is Melbourne we are talking about. I am fascinated to see their production, as of a few weeks ago, Condon was chasing up a local ring as one hadn't been organised. I really believe the undercard did them no favours, seeing people's facebook photos with wrestlers at the airport reminded me just how horrible this roster is. It's quite sad to see Hogan and Flair in this environment.
-- No TNA Impact on Christmas Eve as they're doing an all-day Star Wars Marathon.
-- Complete Strikeforce Challengers results from last night: Kevin Casey def. Chad Vance - Submission (rear naked choke) - 1st Round (1:41), Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante def. Rudy Bears - Submission (arm triangle choke) - 1st Round (2:52), Lucas Lopes def. Dominic Brown - TKO (strikes) - 2nd Round (:45), Mike Chandler def. Rich Bouphanouvong - TKO - 3rd Round (2:07), Darryl Cobb def. Gary Tapasua - Split Decision (3 Rounds) (30-27, 28-29, 29-28), Nick Nolte def. Andrew Waters - Submission (Triangle Choke) - 1st Round (3:45), Brian Davidson def. Russel Patrick - TKO (strikes) - 1st Round (:29), Lee Gibson def. Joe Wilk - TKO (strikes) - 1st Round (4:39)
-- The Pacquiao-Cotto fight last weekend ended up doing 1.25 million buys, plus 110,000 in Puerto Rico, which was a record for the island. Thanks to Mike Sempervive.
-- Karl Stern writes: I'm sure you've heard this already but: Mick Foley was on the Daily Show yesterday and cut a great promo. He was used in a skit about a 10 year old boy who was being picked on at school because he refused to say the pledge of allegiance until homosexuals have equal rights. Foley cut a great promo threatening to pound anyone who picked on the boy. Believe it or not, he was actually wearing a TNA t-shirt. Great segment.
-- Neil Patrick Harris just twittered that Stacy Keibler is guest starring on How I Met Your Mother. Thanks to Jeff. It'll be the 100th episode and she'll play a "hot bartender".
-- Alex Marvez has a look at Howard Brody and his new book here.
-- Jim Ross has a blog up here covering a number of subjects, and also noting that despite what Jerry Lawler said in an interview about him coming back at WrestleMania, right now there is absolutely no timetable for his return.
-- Brian writes: This upcoming Monday, Ring of Honor on HDNet was scheduled to air its replay at 8PM. This is usually the case since the original show is at 5PM. But, checking again this week, the replay was changed to airing at 8:30PM.
