--UFC made the official announcement of former Pride lightweight champion Takanori Gomi vs. Kenny Florian as the main event for a 3/31 Spike TV special from the Bojangles Arena in Charlotte.  The match had been known for a few weeks.  It is the first UFC event in Charlotte since a 1995 match headlined by Ken Shamrock vs. Royce Gracie.

--Newly announced WWE guest hosts include Jewel & Ty Murray (the legendary bull rider, who will be promoting the World Cup of bull riding) on 2/22 in Indianapolis and magician Criss Angel on 3/8.  Maybe he'll make Primo Colon disappear.  Actually it would be a better trick if he can make him appear.

--Taz was critical last night of Vince McMahon's speech, saying when he thanked all the people for ECW's success and never mentioned Paul Heyman and the wrestlers of the original ECW who built up the brand name so he could make money off it.  Honestly, I don't think Heyman at this point really cares.  But he is right, given that McMahon did make a lot of money on a videotape and on TV rights using a brand name that Heyman and the original crew made popular.  Tommy Dreamer on twitter said that people have asked him why he left WWE, and that last night explains it, so I guess he did it over the decision to drop the ECW name.
