Vince McMahon announced at today's investors conference call that they are moving forward at a fast pace on forming a WWE television network, similar to the NFL Network.
McMahon felt the network, which would take advantage of the company's large video library as well as create many opportunities for new progamming, would be operational within 18 months. He felt the new network would be a "game changer" for the company.
In discussing the network, he hinted that some of the current programming may be moved to the network. He said they would hope for Raw to remain on USA for years to come, and that Smackdown would have a major broadcast platform, whether it be MyNetwork TV or another national network.
He didn't go any farther from there.
