Wrestlicious Takedown

Episode 2 – 3/8/10

I, PeachMachine, promise to write much less this time.

I went to the wrestlicous website (wrestlicious.com) to vote for the name of the 20 Girl Battle Royal as I’m sure you all did.  I picked “Hard Justice,” because come on, it’s girl TNA~!  Hilarious.  Anyway, I discovered that there are only 17 girls listed on the roster.  There are 8 good girls and 9 bad girls.  Last episode you may recall that we were introduced to a total of 31 different people:  27 wrestlers, Jimmy Hart, Leyla Milani, JV Rich, and Officer Bubba.  We’re going to keep track of more new faces today.

Intro

Jimmy Hart is nervous about meeting Layla Milani and talks out loud hoping she isn’t a “stick in the mud” when she shows up.  Who should show up?  Why it’s Leyla Milani, the host, or co-host, or something.  Then he flirts with her and she tells him to get his bags, because that’s his deal, he’s a slave, so he does it.  I don’t know why she has bags.  Leyla Milani is case number 13 on Deal or No Deal so maybe that was the case Jimmy was getting.  Cue highlight song, not the name rap from episode 1.  We don’t get that this time.  BOOOO~!

Segment 1

Bootcamp Bailey, the Wrestlicious trainer comes out and says “attention” literally 8 times and says she needs a few good women.  Hopefully she doesn’t train them in promos.  She calls 2 girls from the crowd, and then calls up Tracy the floor manager because I guess no one else in the crowd wanted to do it or she hates her.  So add 3 more girls to the roster.   She makes them march off to do something that she doesn’t really explain.

Segment 2 – Wrestlicous Rewind

Highlights of the 6 woman tag match from last week between Bandita, Felony, and Maria Toro beating Charlotte, Tyler Texas, and Cassie.  At least they put over their own match.

3 more girls are added to the 20 Girl Battle Royal:  Felony, Charlotte who the announcer just calls Southern Belle, and Naughty Girl (another new girl)

Country Quickie with Cousin Cassie and Tyler Texas

They make a few down home jokes in the vein of “you might be a redneck.”

Are You Smarter than a Male Wrestler with Jimmy Hart

Glory vs. Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs

They ask Knobbs what happened in 1776?  He gets it wrong with his answer of “the first beer drinking competition,” and Glory answers it correctly because she loves her country with the answer of “the declaration of independence was signed.”

A recap of Bootcamp Bailey’s promo is played.  Then we get…

The Young and the Wrestlers

3 random girls walk into a bedroom and jump on the bed and claim it.  Then they run excitedly to a pool.  Then they see a bar and start making drinks.  No damn clue what is happening.  Then Bootcamp Bailey yells “attention” for the 9th time and makes them march.  I still have no clue.  I guess she led them to some fancy house where they’re going to live while they train?

Takedown Spotlight:  Lacey Von Erich

Same deal.  She runs in the ocean, she stands there and looks sexy, and it takes a long time, I guess so you can beat off, Ed.

Tony The Top and Autumn Frost knock on JV Rich’s front door, and The Top says that Frost would look good with JV who says that she belongs on a leash.  I really couldn’t make this stuff up.

Paige Webb (5th new girl of this episode, Serena Deeb in WWE) is answering emails from This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  She reads an email and a dude apparently attaches a photo of his cock ring and she gets repulsed.

Main Event (only match)

Autumn Frost (bad girl) vs. Paige Webb (good girl)

This was actually a decent match with some fun spots and passable work.  It was however far too long.  Puns galore by the announcer the entire time.  Frost wins by pinning Webb using her feet on the ropes for leverage.   Chubster.

Takedown Tease

Next week we’ll see Draculetta and White Magic take on Lacey Von Erich wrestling and Cheerleader Amber Lively (6th new girl).

Final Thoughts

Holy crap there was a lot of campy garbage that went nowhere.   I actually enjoyed it, but not as much as the first episode.  That opening rap song was badly needed.  They couldn’t scrap 3 minutes off the main event to air that again?  ¼ boner for the show

Negatives:  Bootcamp Bailey’s promo and follow up, too long on the Spotlight, only one match that was also too long, and the addition of 6 more girls.

Positives:  Fast paced, decent wrestling, Cousin Cassie is still gorgeous, and they actually recapped some stuff and tried to keep angles going.
