Besides the awards, we also have an update on Ric Flair in Germany, Kurt Angle's situation in leaving the door due to health complications with his girlfriend and a gigantic feature on WWE booking.

We look at tons of WWE booking over the past year, look at what worked, didn't work, ideas positioned that never happened, and reasons why the booking hasn't been able to maintain traction even after strong angles.  We look at a lot of what Vince McMahon's influence is, who has influence over him, on the plight of guys who both were and weren't pushed in 2010.

We also have a look at someone who is not known as a pro wrestler, but may have been in the U.S. one of the two most famous ex-pro wrestlers of the 20th century.

We've got coverage of UFC's Fight for the Troops, with poll results, match-by-match coverage, a look at the ratings of each match and the strange ratings pattern, as well as who made themselves stars.

We've got an update on Linda McMahon and the U.S. senate race, lots of notes on the Hall of Fame including more names talked about and others discussed not being in, Mania celebrities, Mania ticket sales, WWE stock update and a look at different categories when it comes to the shortfall.  We also look at the proposed Mania main event, the WWE All-Stars video game, Vince McMahon contract details, a potential multimillion dollar WWE issue, and Low Ki talks about his experience with the company.

We also look at the Best of Nitro DVD, Tivo viewership and Raw update, USA wanting Raw to load up on shows soon and why, late changes in Rumble decision making, new WWE DVDs, who is expected next to be debuted on the main roster, as well as the business notes from the weekend shows and highlights of the Raw and Smackdown house shows over the past week.

We've got ratings of all the national shows including how every segment on Raw and Impact did this past week.  We look in detail on the last two week's of Raw, as far as what segments did and didn't click, including what big match didn't deliver numbers, and exactly what age group turned the match off.

We also have our usual weekly features with results of the major arena shows from around the world, and the major TV show rundowns and reviews.

The Wrestling Observer ranges from 25,000 to 40,000 words covering pro wrestling and MMA all over the world.

--We don't have much new on the Donna Goldsmith resignation from WWE, only that everyone we talked with didn't see it coming and it was pretty much a shock.  The speculation was that it is tied too the disappointing fourth quarter in some form, but nobody really knew anything substantive.  Goldsmith has been the No. 2 person in the company since Linda McMahon left to run for Senate.

--There is a lesson to be learned here regarding shooting angles first and then trying to sign the guys up.  Booker T is confirmed to be in the Royal Rumble.  Kevin Nash is expected to be there as well.  Both canceled autograph signings scheduled this weekend.  Those in TNA and WWE both have confirmed Booker being expected at WWE instead of TNA on Monday.  When it comes to Nash, his name was just removed from the TNA roster (even though he had "left" the company months ago).  It is being reported he's in the Rumble and all that does make sense but we haven't had it confirmed by WWE people of that fact.  Booker T and Kevin Nash had been earmarked to start on Monday with TNA as part of  "They," which makes Monday's Impact very interesting as the only former Main Event Mafia member they can now bring in being Sting.

--Bryan and I will be doing radio shows late tonight covering the WWE happenings, preview to Rumble, tonight's Strikeforce show and more, and be back after the Rumble tomorrow night as well.

--Chris Jericho will be appearing on Observer Radio on 2/9.

--Some notes from the TNA Fan Interaction from yesterday in Manchester.  The session was superbly organized with Beer Money, Ric Flair, RVD, Mickie James, Rob Terry and Jeff Hardy there.  Matt Hardy was there for a few minutes but then disappeared, saying he had to do interviews.  The cost was 25 pounds ($39.70) which included a free program (they were selling them for 12 pounds at the show). RVD was exceptionally friendly.  Flair was reserved but accommodating to everyone.  300 fans paid for it.  Most of the crowd was Males 18-30, far more adults by percentage than at a WWE show.  Dixie Carter was very friendly in posing for photos and signing autographs.  Most of the matches were standard fare but Chris Sabin vs. Kazarian for the X title and Beer Money vs. British Invasion were both very good. (thanks to Kevin Malton)

--Some notes from WrestleReunion.  Paul London showed up.  He had a booking elsewhere but it most have fallen through.  He was mostly at the NWA Hollywood booth with Candice LaRae, Adam Pearce, Colt Cabana, Joey Ryan and Lance Bravado.  Christina Von Eerie was said to be off night's show.  Raven and Christopher Daniels were there.  Billy Graham was there and in good spirits telling stories.  Edge, who is in Los Angeles this weekend to film retakes for his movie, was staying at the hotel and in and out.  He watched the ROH show, in particular the Kings of Wrestling vs. Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin match. (thanks to Daniel Short)

--Among the DVDs WWE will be doing this year are True Story of WrestleMania (March 15), Best of Nitro (May 24), Ted DiBiase (June 28), Randy Orton (September 20), 50 Biggest matches in WWE History (November 29) and Austin vs. Rock:  the Rivalry (December 13).  A complete listing of every WWE DVD release is at http://www.wwedvdnes.com/2011-223-dvd-release-dates/9140/
