- The long-awaited (or dreaded depending upon who you are) drug testing of the Raw side took place last night.

- Scott Steiner vs. Samoa Joe has been signed for the TNA/UWF Hermie Sadler show this coming Saturday night at the Jamil Shrine Temple in Columbia, SC.

- The Observer reported yesterday that Dana White has confirmed the Tito Ortiz vs. Ken Shamrock rematch for October 10, 2006 on whatever free TV special takes place that night. This should be without question the most-watched match in the history of MMA.

- It's not confirmed, but Brandon Vera's website is claiming he'll be fighting Frank Mir at UFC 62. I cannot believe UFC is letting Mir fight again.

- And he's not the only one. Tank Abbott vs. Paul Buentello has been added to the October 7th StrikeForce show at the Save Mart Center in Fresno.

- More on the teen violence study talked about yesterday. It's actually a re-issue of the 1999 Wake Forest Study. Vince McMahon said: "We regret that this seven year old junk science was re-issued. It was junk science then, and is junk science now. It took them seven years to get someone to actually read it and it hasn’t even been subjected to a peer review. There is nothing new in the study, and we think it is recycled garbage put forward by some obscure professor who finally got someone to read his paper and is trying to get his name in the media." He was out of his mind with rage all day yesterday.

- As noted yesterday, the ECW main event tonight will be the first-ever one-on-one match between Kurt Angle and Sabu with the winner getting a title shot against Big Show.

- ECW gets punked

- We'll have a brand new Figure Four Weekly up later tonight on the site for members. Tons of info on the drug testing at Raw, which is an even more interesting story in many ways than it sounds, an in-depth review of Heroes of World Class, plus all the latest news from every major promotion around the world. - Ost writes: The first ever NZPWI Invitational Tournament is this Saturday in Auckland, New Zealand. It will consist of an 8-man tournament featuring the best wrestlers from IPW (Auckland), KPW & NZWPW (Wellington) and MIW (Brisbane, Australia) promotions. There will also be a 20-man royal rumble style match, the winner of that gets entry into next year's show. NZ wrestling legends such as John Da Silva will be in attendance. Two of the guys from IPW were on live television this morning here in New Zealand. You can watch it here, then click the link on the sidebar.
