- For those that cannot get enough TV, or MMA in general, the PRIDE Bushido tournament airs tonight for free in a two-hour block (meaning tons of matches cut and perhaps several edited) on Fox Sports Net starting at 7:00 PM nationally. Tourney matches include Dan Henderson vs. Kazuo Misaki, Ryo Chonan vs. Paulo Filho, Gergard Mousasi vs. Akihiro Gono, and Denis Kang vs. Amar Suloev. I presume there will be plenty of replays. Clancy Gilpatrick writes: Just wanted to let you guys know that Comcast in the Baltimore/DC region is not airing the Pride special tonight because of the replay of the Redskins game from lasxt night. It's first scheduled airing is on Tuesday from 4pm to 6pm.

- For those that have heard the stories, I can confirm that WWE made some requests to Kurt Angle regarding how to handle his issues and he refused, thus the firing. This is your standard firing, meaning he likely has a 90-day no compete and then can go wherever he wants, including TNA or Japan. We will have a TON of news on this situation in the new issue of Figure Four that will come out Tuesday. There is way more than meets the eye in all the WWE.com stories from the past few days.

- Chuck Liddell's base pay for last night's PPV was $250,000. That's not counting his win or PPV bonuses.

- I probably won't be on the show, but don't forget to check out Wrestling Observer Live tonight on Sports Byline and Sirius Channel 122 from 8-10 PM EST/5-7 PST.

Kea will face Minoru Suzuki for the championship on 9/3 in Sapporo; Hiroshi Hase's retirement match: Satoshi Kojima & Katsuhiko Nakajima & Hiroshi Hase defeated TARU & Kohei Suwama & "brother" YASSHI in 29 minutes, 36 seconds when Hase used a Northern Lights Suplex Hold on YASSHI for the win. Group picture after the match.

- CMLL announced that Hijo del Santo and Perro Aguayo Jr. have agreed to a hair vs. mask match and that they're trying to hammer out a date. It'll most likely take place at the 73rd anniversary show next month, so at least we know that one will sell out.

- ROH last night was headlined by Brian Danielson going to a 60-minute draw in a best of three falls match with Colt Cabana. Keith Lipinski will have a detailed recap up later on.
