Sunday news update: Details of Angle's firing, Bushido tonight, Chuck payoff, Santo vs. Aguayo, more

PRIDE Bushido debuts on free TV in the US tonight

- For those that have heard the stories, I can confirm that WWE made some requests to Kurt Angle regarding how to handle his issues and he refused, thus the firing. This is your standard firing, meaning he likely has a 90-day no compete and then can go wherever he wants, including TNA or Japan. We will have a TON of news on this situation in the new issue of Figure Four that will come out Tuesday. There is way more than meets the eye in all the stories from the past few days.

- Chuck Liddell's base pay for last night's PPV was $250,000. That's not counting his win or PPV bonuses.

- I probably won't be on the show, but don't forget to check out Wrestling Observer Live tonight on Sports Byline and Sirius Channel 122 from 8-10 PM EST/5-7 PST.

- CMLL announced that Hijo del Santo and Perro Aguayo Jr. have agreed to a hair vs. mask match and that they're trying to hammer out a date. It'll most likely take place at the 73rd anniversary show next month, so at least we know that one will sell out.

- ROH last night was headlined by Brian Danielson going to a 60-minute draw in a best of three falls match with Colt Cabana. Keith Lipinski will have a detailed recap up later on.
