The show opened with Excalibur and Dino coming out saying there was a special guest. Out came Frankie Kazarian. He cut a good promo it wasn't bashing tna instead he put over the locker room and the fans. He got a standing ovation when he left. Very good opening.
Then in does Vince Russo book TNA moment. They had Dino and Excalibur bet over who was going to win the next match. With the loser being a servant for a year. Why, dunno?
Stalker vs Don Fuji
Fine little opener.
Kings of Wrestling vs Briscoes
It wasn't hot tag o mania tonight. I also thought the finish came in the right place. But in saying that I thought the actual match was okay. Never really seemed to really have a point. Briscoes win after the springboard doomsday.
Bino Gambino vs TJ
I took a bathroom break, and got some food.
Trailer Park Boyz vs The Pitbulls
Again this match really didn't click with me. Fine tag team match but I was thinking this was supposed to be MCMG (Shelly and Sabin) in this match. How much better it would have been. And this match just didn't grab me.
American Dragon vs CIMA
These guys knew what we wanted and went out there and delivered. Honestly they could have traded headlocks and the fans would have freaked out. But they went out there and had a amazing match. Finish came when Danielson had CIMA in the cattle mutilation right as time expired. This match started the string of really good matches in my opinion.
INTERMISSION
Arrogance vs Team Dragon Gate
Good tag match. I really feel Arrogance is the best tag team in the tourney this weekend. And they had another good team with Doi and Yoshino. Match flowed real well. The heat segment went on long enough. The hot tag got a good reaction. The finish got a huge pop. The best tag match of night one.
Joey Ryan vs Ronin
Why this match was on this show and the stips. I am so confused. I felt this would have been a good match for the 4th anniversary show. Why they did it tonight I don't know. So you had a decent feud with no steam and unclear stips. Good match though. Ronin has really stepped up his game lately. Joey Ryan is good most of the time. This match ended with ryan hitting a low blow, taking ronin's mask off and rolling him up. So, the stip was if ronin wins joey gets his hair taken off. if joey wins ronin doesn't get to go to bola. But joey won so he cut a promo saying he was going to bola. Make sense of that if you can. Then Scorpio Sky hit the ring and attacked Ryan. That segment got very little reaction at all. Seemed out of no where.
Roderick and PAC vs Davey and Super Dragon
This was a very good tag match. I have a like hate relationship with pac. I like his matches. Hate how he bumps on his head. Good match they got the heat on pac . Pac rolled up davey for the win. After the match the ref DDTed Davey and Dragon checked on him only to have davey brush him off and walk to the back. Why they have refs ddting workers is beyond me. I think they might be going back to where they were supposed to go after Self Titled with Dragon and B-Boy won the belts. With a Dragon vs Davey feud.
Steen vs Generico (title match)
This started super late, and because of that I couldn't fully get into it. Good match though. Steen got mad at Acidhelmnun~! during the match and walked on me to get to him. Generico wins after using Steen's own package piledriver for the win. Like i said we were tired and ready to go home. 5 hours of wrestling is too much wrestling. Well that is it for now. I will go to night two also. {plug}
