The night started wonderfully and I am sitting in the stands writing this report not in a press area. There is a decent amount of people here, and they announce on the PA it is the state record for paid attendance for a boxing or MMA show.

Sabres vs. Wolfpack

1. Orville Palmer vs. Devin Cole
Great fight. Ends in a split decision for Orville Palmer. Both guys had close finishes. Cole gained mount, and Palmer rocked him quite a few times. Good fight.

2. Kazuhiro Hamanaka vs. MATT HORWICH~!
Praise God! Cole just came over to chat with some dudes next to us. Very laid back, this IFL. By the grace of God Horwich lands a left high kick for the KO stoppage!! This is an awesome and rad universe and God does have awesome plans for Matt Horwich

Bas interviews Horwich and thanks Jeremy Horn for his contribution to the sport.

3. Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Aaron Stark
Stark went in for a takedown on Vladdy and caught some punches to the dome for the wonderful gameplan. Vladdy scores the first takedown after an exchange. Vladdy ends up in side control raining down punches and Stark momentarily gives up his back. Vladdy gains little brother position, Stark catches a few nasty unprotected punches for the stoppage at 2:49 of the first round.

4. Antonio McKee vs. Mike Dolce
McKee scores and takedown quickly looks for side control. Ref stands them up after a stalemate. Dolce gets taken down again and gets half-guard this time. Crowd is booing after more stalemate and almost zero offense from McKee on top. McKee is working a deep side choke but lets go. Crowd becomes hot for some week knees on the ground. McKee takes his back and works for a choke but the bell rings. The second round begins with some dancing and booing then a takedown and some booing. McKee seems to be the superior fighter but he is unable to apply in sort of finish. There has been two standups for inactivity. Third begins with 2 minutes of dancing. I am ready for the rock paper scissors championship at this point. Instead they deliver paddy cakes on the ground. Nobody here cares but McKee gets the unanimous decision.

Oh yeah, and that is Sabres 3, Wolfpack 1. So they took the contest...

5. Savant Young vs. Ryan Schultz
Lots of dancing and very little effective punching on the feet. At the 2:00 mark Shultz acquires a takedown from the clinch, to only be stood up a few seconds later. Young attempts and misses a superman punch. Followed by a minute of cautious standup with few strikes to finish the round. Shultz shoots in for a double but sticks his head in a guillotine, a deep one. Just when I thought he would tap his head popped out! After a brief time in Young's guard they are stood up for some more uneventful action. Third the same as the second. Shultz works a hammerlock from side control for most of the last two minutes. Young doesn't tap when a lot of guys would have. Shultz gets the unanimous nod in this one

Anancondas vs. Tiger Sharks

6. Benji Radach vs. Bristol
Bristol dropped Radach with a nasty right hand that buckles him to his knees but he quickly recovers. Radach drops Bristol with an overhand right and jumps on him for the ref stoppage after a few more shots. Radach by TKO at 1:48 in the first.

Anacondas up 1-0

7. Chris Horodecki vs. Shad Lierley
Good exchanges on the feet with Horodecki getting rocked a couple times. Shad eats a few too many punches and shoots for a failed take down. Serious exchanges and the crowd goes fucking crazy and we can't hear the bell. No clear victor in that round. Second round begins just the same. Shad gets rocked and some how ends up on top. Ref stands them up after about 1 minute. Horodecki slowly getting the better of the standup but Shad answers with a knee. After a sloppy exchange Shad scores and take down and takes his back. Unable to score a rear naked Horodecki scrambes to his feet. Second ends and these guys are DEAD TIRED. Putting on a great show. Third Shad is very tired and getting hit, he gets the takedown. REF STANDUP! Horodecki is taking over with a much better gas tank. Horodecki gets the unanimous decision. Bas called this the fight of the decade!

Anacondas up 2-0 over the local team.

8. Jay Hieron vs. Brad Blackburn
Amazing knockout by BAD Brad Blackburn. He clipped Hieron's chin with a right hook that sent him falling forward. He at a few more punches and the ref jumped in for the stoppage at 40 seconds of the first round.

Blackburn sent a text to Hieron prior to the fight saying "He was the hardest nigga he ever met"

Tiger Sharks get a win! Anacondas still up at 2-1.

9. Alex Schoenauer vs. Allan Goes
Long time MMA vet Goes, at one time on the cusp of being one of the best. Goes looks for the clinch but gets hit and covers up and eats a few more punches. Goes stalks Alex around each throwing very few punches. After a clinch Goes attempts some horrible dirty boxing and gets caught with a right hand that drops the Brazilian, Alex jumps in with a few more punches on the ground to finish it.

Anacondas win this one 3-1

10. Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Reese Andy
Heavyweights! Reese scores the first take down into Sosz's guard. Sosz attempts an armbar, and in the transition find himself in a side choke from the north-south position. After a scramble Reese found himself on bottom and catching punches with very little defense, but he was saved by the bell. Second starts with Reese getting a big slamming take down on Sosz, but does little with it and gets stood up. These big dudes are dead. Reese gets another take down followed by little else. Sosz fails at a triangle and then tries to fail at a kimura. Sosz successfully fails just before the bell. The third starts with Sosz trying to lay some lumber on Reese. Reese doesn't like this and clinches. Reese ends up completely gassing and giving up his back after a failed take down. Sosz is too tired to really lay into him, and finally round ends after a reversal by Reese. Split decision for Reese Andy.

Fun show!
