The funeral for Nancy and Daniel Benoit took place today in Florida.

I'm once again scheduled to be on Nancy Grace this evening talking the latest in the Benoit tragedy. It appears Marc Mero and Fit Finley will be debating each other on the show. It airs at 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EST on CNN.

We have a number of new Benoit links down below. Dr. Astin continues to be investigated, and I suspect that even more wrestlers are going to be revealed as patients of his. I know of at least a couple names that have yet to come out, and there may be more as investigators likely don't know the real names of many guys.

Vinny and I return tonight for members with the weekend Bryan & Vinny Show running down ECW, TNA and Smackdown. A full Smackdown review is already up elsewhere on the site by Andrew M, in case you want to find out whether it's worth watching this week. Vinny and I will also be back late Sunday night with a post-TNA PPV members-only radio show.

ECW did a 1.37 Tuesday night.

There are new Benoit articles coming out in the National Enquirer and the Globe.

Lance Storm will be the guest on Observer Live Sunday.

FCW runs July 14th at the LA Sports Arena with El Santo, Rey Misterio, El Hijo de Rey Misterio, La Parka, Psicosis, Cassandro, Pentagon Black, and Gran Hamada in a Cage of Death match (loser gets shaved or unmasked) in the main event.

Jerry Lynn is now accepting bookings for independent wrestling shows and for autograph signings. Anyone who is interested in booking him does not need to go through TNA. Jerry can be reached by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Most of you have probably seen it, but Ken Kennedy's latest diatribe is here. Don't get me wrong, he has a few good points such as that guys need to save their money, but he's also full of shit as it regards GNC supplements raising T/E ratios (particularly to above 10:1), the Wellness policy details in general (I have the entire policy right here and he's utterly clueless, and it flabbergasts me how many people -- particularly those in wrestling -- have absolutely no idea what it even says), the legal status of ephedrine, and more. I'll have much more about this in the newsletter this week.

Penny Durham has comments on her Nancy Grace appearance here

Wanderlei Silva is claiming he only turned down a fight with Chuck Liddell in Anaheim, and still wants the fight to take place in November.

Chris Horodecki broke his hand and is off the August 2nd IFL show in New Jersey. That sucks.
