1. Roderick Strong beat Joey Ryan in a tourney match after Ryan's attempt at interference backfired. Good match.
2. Alex Shelley beat Matt Sydal in a great frikkin match to advance in the tourney. I think at the end of the day, I found this to be the best match of the entire weekend. Just a work of art.
3. Pac beat Claudio Castagnoli to advance. Another great match. Pac won with his full twisting shooting star press, which is a sight to behold.
4. CIMA beat Shingo in a very good tourney match with a wacky lucha cradle.
5. Nigel McGuinness beat Necro Butcher with his lariat of doom in another tournament match. People were pissed when Necro was eliminated. His knee was bothering him bad.
6. Generico beat Dragon Kid with his top rope brainbuster in the final quarterfinal match. Also very good. This show was on quite the streak at this point.
7. Strong beat Shelley in another great match to move to the finals. Shelley was the weekend MVP and fans were also upset when he was eliminated.
8. CIMA beat Pac to move on to the finals. You know the drill by now. Very good match.
9. Generico beat Nigel McGuinness with a brainbuster to move to the finals. Crowd loved Generico, and I figured he might be winning the entire thing after this.
10. Chris Hero & Kevin Steen & Tyler Black & Doug Williams & Susumu Yokosuka & Jack Evans beat Austin Aries & Jimmy Rave & Human Tornado & Scott Lost & Davey Richards & Karl Anderson when Hero pinned Tornado with a cradle. This was all built around the Hero/Tornado angle on night one. A pretty fun match but it's hard to showcase anyone when you've got 12 guys in one match. 11. CIMA beat Strong And Generico to win the tournament. Generico was eliminated first, which surprised me, then CIMA pinned Roderick. Total elapsed time was about 15 minutes. Seemed almost a letdown after such a great evening, though by no means a bad match. Bryan Danielson gave CIMA the trophy and they teased a future title match between the two.
First two nights were below the standards set last year, but this third night was up there with the best shows I've ever seen top-to-bottom. {plug}
