Sunday is the WWE No Mercy PPV with a brand new WWE Champion guaranteed. The full line-up for the show as of Saturday afternoon, courtesy Dr. Keith:
SUNDAY~! WWE No Mercy - Sunday October 7, 2007 - Allstate Arena, Rosemont, IL
1. WWE Championship Match: TBA (title vacant)
2. World Heavyweight Championship - Punjabi Prison Match: Batista vs. The Great Khali
3. Triple H vs. Umaga
4. WWE Womens Championship Match: Candice Michelle vs. Beth Phoenix
5. Rey Mysterio vs. Finley
6. WWE Tag Team Championship Match: MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter) & Matt Hardy vs. The Undertaker & Kane
7. ECW Championship Match: CM Punk vs. Big Daddy V
Cancelled: - Last Man Standing Match: John Cena vs. Randy Orton
As of the middle of last week the idea was to give Randy Orton a gigantic push as the number one heel in the company, so I'd guess that regardless of the opponent he's leaving with the title. Batista should win the Punjabi Prison match if for no other reason than I can't imagine Khali being able to scale a 20 foot cage. Should be horrible, but hopefully at least horrible in a funny way. I expect Hunter to beat Umaga clean in the middle with the pedigree as he continues destroying every heel on the brand. Beth will probably win the title, Rey should beat Finlay clean, I expect MVP and Matt to retain the belts somehow, probably DQ or something, because I cannot imagine Kane and Undertaker regularly defending or ultimately losing the belts. Not sure what to expect with Punk and Big Daddy V. We may have interference from John Morrison, who knows? Doesn't really matter what they do either way.
Vinny and I will be back late Sunday night for members running down the show in detail, plus perhaps Human Weapon or Derby City. We'll also have live ongoing play-by-play on the front page courtesy Admin Tony and Anchor on our BOARD.
Sunday will also have a new edition of Wrestling Observer Live. The show airs on Sports Byline USA and Sirius Satellite Radio channel 122 from 5-7 PM PST, 8-10 PM EST. We'll be covering the WWE PPV and taking calls throughout the evening at 1-800-878-PLAY. You can also listen live during the show by clicking on the WOL link on the main menu above.
Former IWGP Champion Tadao Yasuda attempted suicide yesterday and was hospitalized. He overdosed on pills and a friend found him and had him rushed to the hospital, where he'll remain for the next few weeks. He's had some major issues, including serious problems with gambling debts.
Some major stories in Mexico. It is strongly being hinted that one of the biggest mask matches in years, Hijo del Santo vs LA Park (original La Parka) will be taking place in early 2008 in the promotion Santo is trying to get up and running. Also, it is believed that unless plans change (which happens regularly in Mexico) Blue Demon Jr. will be dropping his mask to Espectro Jr. in the main event of Tuesday's show at the Calimax Baseball Stadium in Tijuana. There is a lot going on behind the scenes and this is a GIGANTIC story. We'll have much more on it one way or another in this coming week's issue of Figure Four Weekly.

Apparently there will be no charges filed in the Jonny Fairplay vs. Donny Bonaduce fight. It was determined that Bonaduce acted in self-defense when Fairplay jumped and tried to hump him during an awards show last week.
Lilian Garcia and her band will be performing on Raw Monday. Expect an angle.

Robbie Dawber, formerly of OVW, appeared on the I Love New York Season 2 Casting special on VH-1 earlier this week.
Spike TV will be going HD in early 2008 and it's believed TNA and UFC will follow shortly thereafter.
HBO has announced that negotiations with UFC are dead, although Dana White has said publicly that he hopes to still make a deal at some point. The man will just not give up.
As noted on the Figure Four Daily with Les Thatcher, Friday was the 10th anniversary of the death of Brian Pillman.
Also, as noted by Admin Tony on Saturday's weekend Bryan & Vinny Show, it has been confirmed that Tank vs. Kimbo is OFF. It was scheduled for October 12th in Atlantic City. This is sad.
Rashad Evans vs. Michael Bisping is official for the November 17th UFC in Newark, NJ. Guess Tito refused to man up.
