The big news today really isn't news as the government has determined that Dr. Astin did, in fact, prescribe too much testosterone to Chris Benoit. This had been known since shortly after Benoit's death, when Astin was described as having provided him with 10 months' worth of steroids every three to four weeks. More charges in the Astin case are said to be forthcoming. This made headlines all over the world, including being a top story on Yahoo! News.We have a link to an article on the story down below.
We have no line-up for Raw tonight, only the word that Randy Orton will be celebrating with his belt and Hunter will Probably Have Something To Say About It. The only thing known for sure is that John Cena will be appearing via satellite to say hello and discuss his pec tear.
Hiroshi Tanahashi is the new IWGP Champion for New Japan, beating Yuji Nagata earlier today in Tokyo.
The Game Plan, starring Dwayne Johnson, made $16 million this weekend to finish in first place for the second week in a row. This time he beat Ben Stiller and The Heartbreak Kid, which does not, as rumored, include a cameo by HBK. That film opened at about $14 million.
The final exact number for the TNA two-hour debut was 1.06.
As noted last night, Chris Jericho will be our guest on the October 21st edition of Wrestling Observer live. Speaking of the show, you can download last night's episode with myself and co-host Brian Fritz here. Thanks to curter for his archiving skillz~!
