WWE is calling it the biggest TV show of the year -- Raw tonight from LA, coincidentally home of the writer's strike. There are many jokes to be made here. They've announced DX vs. Randy Orton & Umaga, Steve Austin stunning Santino (well, that hasn't been announced, but everyone expects it), and Jeff Hardy & Rey Misterio vs. Fit Finlay & Mr. Kennedy. Apparently the ECW/Smackdown merger now includes Raw as well. Vinny and I will be up late tonight running down the show in detail, along with Derby City Wrestling and the latest episode of Human Weapon. It's a FREE SHOW, so if you're a freeloader check back tomorrow for that.WWE sold over 46,000 tickets for WrestleMania at the Citrus Bowl this weekend.
Announced for Survivor Series thus far, besides Undertaker vs. Batista Hell in the Cell, is HHH & Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy & Rey Misterio & Kane vs. Umaga & Mr. Kennedy & MVP & Finlay & Big Daddy V in a ten-man elimination tag. Randy Orton will also likely be facing Shawn Michaels for the WWE title.
There is a replay of the Shamrock/Baroni EXC show on Showtime tonight starting at 10:00 PM. You can catch the fight itself after Raw I'd guess. It's great.
And speaking of EXC, Cung Le vs. Sam "THE SQUEEZE" Morgan has been added to the November 16th EXC show with the already-announced four-man middleweight tournament. Morgan was a competitor on season II of Ultimate Fighter.
Rock was scheduled for Saturday Night Live this weekend, but due to the Hollywood writer's strike which started today that has been axed. Also, no new Headlines on Jay Leno tonight. That sucks.
We're still looking for a report from ROH in New York on Saturday night. Tomorrow for members we're going to be doing a special bonus Figure Four Daily with a guest from back in the day, Clancy Gilpatrick, talking both shows.
Nicholas Cage was backstage at the ROH show preparing for his role in the upcoming film "The Wrestler".
There are articles on the life of Fabulous Moolah here and here. Mae says she'll wrestle a match for her at age 100. I believe her.
Combat-Hooligans.com has an audio interview with TNA wrestler Austin Creed here.
There is an audio interview with Jake Shields up here.
