CNN thoughts, Masters done, Sherk, more

Everyone should see the CNN piece that aired last night. It replays Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 PM EST. They actually found Dynamite Kid for an interview, and also had Vince and Linda in studio. Vince came off bad of his own doing, and a few things he said, such as that they suspended ten wrestlers the same day that they got word they'd been Signature Pharmacy customers, were outright lies (it was actually two weeks afterwards). The Cena comment was also fascinating, where he said he couldn't say he'd never done steroids but you couldn't prove he ever had, which appeared to be, if nothing else, an outright admission that he had taken them at one point. Not sure if that was taken out of context, but it was interesting. We'll have tons more in next week's issue of Figure Four Weekly, and we'll be talking to Dave Meltzer about it on the next members-only edition of Figure Four Daily.

A full transcript of the McMahon interview is up here.

Chris Masters was axed. No surprise, really. When he got suspended last week we were told by someone who would be in position to have the information that there was no way this was only his second strike, and more than likely at least his fourth.

The Sherk hearing has officially been moved to December 4th.

Paul Taylor vs. Paul Kelly and Antoni Hardonk vs. Colin Robinson have been added to UFC 80 in Newcastle on January 19.

Scott Hall returns on TNA tonight to set up the main event for Sunday, which will not including Scott Hall. Yes. Anyway, also we've got the Fight for the Right Tournament Finals with Christian vs. Kaz, Gail Kim in action, Team 3-D vs. Jay Lethal & Abyss, which somehow continues the Team 3-D vs. X-Division feud, and Angle & Roode & James Storm vs. Sting & Joe & Eric Young.

Fresh Air on NPR rebroadcast a 2005 interview with Moolah yesterday in memory of her passing. The link is up here. Thanks to Kev.

As usual, hopefully the Dave Meltzer show will be posted tonight, but if all else fails we'll get it up later this weekend.

I smell a lawsuit coming

Another article on Fabulous Moolah. It notes that Mae Young has an identical tomb next to hers waiting for when she passes away.
