Former wrestling star Hardbody Harrison was just declared guilty in his prostitution and sex trafficking trial in Atlanta just hours ago. He won't be sentenced until February and faces life in prison. There is a brief story here.

During a press conference today it was announced that Fedor Emelianenko is confirmed to fight on New Year's Eve, but isn't necessarily facing Hong-Man Choi. They don't have an opponent yet. It's also not taking place on the HUSTLE show, but on the debut show for a new promotion put together by the former front office staff of PRIDE. They don't have a TV outlet, but the show will air on SkyPerfectTV.

MMAJunkie is reporting that the February 23rd Strikeforce show will be held at the Tacoma Dome.

Matt Hardy will be out one to three months after undergoing an emergency appendectomy last night. Good thing they dropped the tag belts last week. WWE is saying MVP may be in part responsible in storyline for the injury. Apparently they were lucky to get in there when he did because toxins were already poisoning his body.

Tyson Tomko also had surgery today for an unspecified muscle tear.

Due to Thanksgiving, I suspect the Thursday Figure Four Daily with Dave Meltzer will be delayed until later on in the week. Our BLACK FRIDAY guest will be Derek Burgan talking pro-wrestling books, DVDs, etc., that might make great Christmas gifts. This was a fun show last year and looks to be becoming an annual tradition.

Jarrypark.com is reporting that the December 29th IFL Grand Prix Finals will be airing on HDNet, which is owned by Mark Cuban.

Same site also has an interview with Larry Sweeney here discussing Lince Dorado's injury and his humbling at the hands of ME.

Chikara is doing an auction to help raise funds to help pay for Lince Dorado's recent hospital stay. There are seven-day Lince auctions here (for a mask) and here (another mask). They also announced that they were working with Penn State University to try to set up one more Chikara show for 2007 to make up for this past Sunday's show being cancelled prior to the main event.

Bryson Kamaka, who last competed on November 16 for StrikeForce, has tested positive for marijuana. He's suspended through February 14, 2008 and has been fined $500.

The new, nearly 28,000-word Figure Four Weekly newsletter is up right now for members. The weekly newsletter, the online version of which members can read free every Tuesday (we also have a hardcopy available for a few dollars more per month), has been covering all the news in the world of pro-wrestling and MMA since 1995. It is by far the biggest weekly newsletter available on the Internet (probably on any subject), and we go into far more depth on every story than any other news source you will find anywhere online. Each newsletter also includes full reviews of every major TV show including Raw, Smackdown, TNA, ECW, and Ultimate Fighter. Of course, as a member you also get full access to ALL new and archived radio shows dating back to 2005, plus all the new and archived (320-plus issues) Figure Four Weekly newsletters dating back to 2001. To sign up, please click here, or PayPal users can use the Quick Buy link at the top of this page to be online within 60 seconds. Rates start at just $7.99 per month (27 cents a DAY), so it's a steal. Thanks for your support!

Our latest FREE radio show, the November 20 Bryan & Vinny Show, can be downloaded here.

My newest Fight Network column is here with a look at the recent CNN documentary on pro-wrestling. If you like the columns, they're about 1/25th the length of each issue of Figure Four Weekly, and we've got 300 back issues archived from 2002-today, all available 24/7 with an online membership to this site. See below for more info and ordering details.
