Last Time: Family day was bitter sweet. Jessica Sierra’s sister showed up and proved to be hotter than her, Ricco Rodriguez’s wife was concerned for their child, and Dr. Drew struggled to make sense of it all

Info: Patients are able to face problems and admit them to close family members

Day 14, 8:00 AM: Jeff Conaway is wearing some wigger ass basketball shorts when he wakes up. Ricco gets his boxing gear on and hits a palm tree. That’s great.

9:30 AM: Process group begins with Brigitte Nielsen explain how reality is going to hit when they leave in 4 days. Dr. Drew asks who is going to stay sober. Jaimee Foxworth and Jeff discuss his bitch Vikki and how she’s a negative influence. Brigitte and Sierra jump in to bash Vikki. Jessica calls out Ricco about being closed up. Ricco has a cigarette behind his ear. That’s rad. No wonder he was gassed in his recent Elite XC showing. He admits to a gambling addiction where he would drop 100-200K and tell the bookie to come and get it because he’s Ricco Rodfuckingriguez and he’ll fucking kill you. The group applauds his honesty. I applaud his KO ability.

11:00 AM: Drew sits with Ricco and they discuss his gangster lifestyle. He says that he never hurt anyone that wasn’t bad, and did what it took to take care of his life. Ricco explains the bad side of himself that he has to keep caged.

1:00 PM: Drew explains the 2 options after they leave. Option 1 is for people to go home, and option 2 is for people to go to “Sober Living,” where the former addicts live with other rehabbed addicts. Sierra, Mary Carey, and Jaimee are very stressed about the decision. Ricco and Seth “Shifty” Binzer have a similar discussion. Ricco offers to bring Shifty with him to Dallas to go to some fights and stay sober.

7:30 PM: Drew arranges for a talent show in a coffee house. I can’t wait to see Chyna’s talent. There’s an open mic and it’s fucking ridiculous. Ricco gets on stage and isn’t funny. Then Shifty spits some ill lyrics. Finally, Jessica sings some song, probably hers. If this is un-doctored, it’s the best sounding karaoke I’ve ever heard. Chyna does not perform her talent. Shocking.

Day 15, 7:00 AM: Drew gives the crew a day trip to Catalina Island. He’s a great great man. His job is to keep them in treatment in an exciting environment. Bob Forrest and Drew are upset about the singing of “99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall.” They get to the city of Avalon and Ricco wants to jump in the ocean off the boat. He admits that he’s out on bail. Fuck it, he jumped in. AWESOME~! Here comes the harbor patrol. Apparently it’s illegal to get in the water. This shit is serious for some reason. One of the producers has to step in and keep the cops from arresting him. Ricco thought it was funny. So did I. Everyone needs to chill the fuck out. Drew is very frustrated. He’s beating himself up for not having appropriate consequences for their actions.

1:15PM: Drew feels that things are unraveling. In process meeting, Ricco apologizes. Drew wants people to enter sober living because they need more structure. Everyone is making pissy excuses. Sierra argues with Bob about her leaving. She keeps threatening to drink if she leaves. Drew points out that Sierra is tough and that she can handle her own bullshit. Sobriety needs to be the number one priority in their lives right now, and not whether or not they have to go to morning meetings.

Back at the center… Shelly the nurse says that they have 80 hours left. Jeff explains that Vikki is at home with drugs and he can’t wait to get home.

Day 16, 11:00 AM: Drew and Jeff talk about his survival mechanisms. Jeff is an opiate addict and Drew calls him on it. Jeff has been taking opiates for his back pain, and he doesn’t think it’s a problem. Jeff starts to cry and admits that he found something that he liked about himself.

4:00 PM: An emergency meeting is called, apparently by Jeff, who tells the group that he knows he’s going to need medicine (opiates) when he leaves. He feels dishonest about this, and wants everyone to know that he’s learned a lot but he still is going to have to take drugs when he leaves. Chyna says that when Jeff leaves, she thinks he’ll die. Jeff is actually choosing to leave for real, and everyone is upset. I’m not at all. He left with like 2 days left. What a bitch.

The crew is playing Domino in the back and reflecting on Jeff’s departure. Shifty went ahead and started a food fight in the back. It’s sierra and Carey vs. Shifty. They trash the back yard. The nigh tech William Smith is pissed and makes them clean it up. The dude looks hard. I wouldn’t fuck with him. Shifty takes the blame. Brigitte and Ricco think the food fight was disrespectful.

11:30 PM: Shifty is pissed about having to be in the group. He goes to bed. Smith says that he’s going to pray for him.

Next Week: People leave, Drew is disgusted, and they take a look back at the way they were. Drew says that the disease is winning. He gets up and walks away. Everyone is crying.

Final Thoughts: This was another great episode. It’s so patently clear that addicts have such a struggle in all aspects of life and these celebrities are no different. I’m actually starting to get into the characters and their personalities. It’s a shame that there’s only a few episodes left. {plug}
