Good show considering the bad luck of many fights going the distance. I’m so happy Amir won; he’s got the humble likability that Forrest Griffin used to have. UFC can make a lot of money portraying him as the underdog who always gets dominated but somehow pulls of victories in the end. I also hope they give Tanner another chance, but if they don’t, I’m sure another group will snap him up in a hurry.

Hey Dave
I thought this was a really good show. I had a hard time figuring out the Matt Riddle for Dante Rivera match as they seemed to struggle with being able to do anything to each other. I wasn't sure if they were skilled and just evenly matched or unskilled. In fairness, I was packing to move watching it so I didn't think it would be fair to call it worst match (as if what I say matters that much...)
Anyways, there were lots of great fights. Amir Sodollah, Diegao Sanchez, Spencer Fisher and Kendall Grove all came off as great fighters to me. Will they be headlining pay-per-views in their next fights? Probably not, but not everyone can. I am glad that they seemed to have eased off on trimming the roster as there are a lot of great fighters aroud like this who could have been cut if things went a little differently. It's also tough as they don't want people to take easy wins and to keep trying, but when people have lost recently they got cut. It's also poor timing for some people as losing in July 2008 could have very different results for someone as opposed to a couple months before.
Anyway, I thought it was great fights up and down the live card. Diego Sanchez was great and it was a close fight. I also thought the announcers did a great job of putting over former TUF winners. And of course I loved the Spencer Fisher/ Ric Flair references. It's amazing how many MMA fans I know who look down on pro wrestling, but a lot of the fighters don't seem to do so.
