AAA TripleMania TV report

By Xavier Hernandez
AAA TripleMania (Part 2)
By: Xavier Hernandez
Show aired on: 07/19/2008

The show opens with the same message of La Parka from last week. They show a video package with all the matches from TripleMania. Excellent footage, but they used it at the beginning, and they used a horrible spanish adaptation of "Eye of the Tiger" (I apologize, but I hated the song big time). At the end, Konnan appears singing "start spreading the news New York..." That was weird.

*Full replay of the match between the Hart Foundation (Teddy Hart, Jack Evans + Bryan Danielson), the Tijuana Family (Halloween, Extreme Tiger & TJ Extreme), and the Mexican Powers (Crazy Boy, Ultimo Gladiador + Ricky Marvin). The Mexicans won the match, but they were destroyed by the Extreme Brotherhood after the match.

*Pretaped Segment: Jesus Zuniga interviews two bald Apaches. Mari says she was very nervous to compete in front of 16,000 fans, and to face her sister in such an important event. El Apache was really worried about both of his daughters, but it was great to lose two hairs to recover his family. Apache doesn't want to remember the match, because he fells guilty for everything that happened.

*Full Replay of the "Hair vs. Hair" match, between Fabi Apache and Mari Apache. Easily the best match of the event, and Fabi defeated Mari. Both El Apache and Mari were shaved after the match, and the three Apaches shared a very emotional moment.

*Pretaped Segment: El Apache is trying to take a picture with both of his daughters, until Zuniga interupts. Apache says now that the three Apaches are together, they are unbeatable. Apache wanted to sacrifice his hair for Mari's, and he would have done the same if Fabi lost the match. Apache wants to forget everything, and wants to move forward. Mari didn't care if her dad shaved, because she was the loser, and didn't want to let the fans down, so she shaved her head.

*Noti AAA:
-The trailer for the AAA animated movie is shown again.
-AAA is working very hard to remodel their website.
-Fans were interviewed about the Mari/Fabi hair match. Everyone disagreed with the way Apache acted, and the last guy was very funny, making fun of Apache's hair.
-Another reminder to bring keys to the TV tapings.

1) Electroshock, Kenzo Suzuki & Bobby Lashley vs. La Parka, Chessman & Silver King

Prematch Comments: Kenzo came with his son, which was very cute. Charlie Manson come in a wheelchair, and apologizes for not being able to compete (he's out for the rest of the year, due to an injury suffered in a house show). He introduces his replacement: the brother of Dr. Wagner Jr., "SILVER KING", who comes to the ring with boxing champion Cristian Mijares.

-First Fall: The heels immediately attack the tecnicos. Lashley does a Military Press on Silver, and Kenzo does the Brainbuster on Parka. Lashley delivers Spears on both Chessman and Silver. Parka begins to toy with Lashley, and makes him spear both Kenzo and Electro. The comeback begins, and the three tecnicos dropkick Lashley simultaneously. Both teams return to their corners, and they do some nice moves on each other. Parka takes out Kenzo with a suicide dive. Silver applies the Zigzag Crossbody on Electro, and Chessman does another suicide dive on Lashley. The match transfers to the entrance ramp. Chessman sets Electro on a table, and climbs to the crowd with Silver. Chessman attempts a Moonsault, but Lashley removes Electro from the table, causing Chessman to break the table with his own body. Silver tries a Crossbody off the crowd, but Lashley catches him in mid-air and slams him. In the ring, Kenzo fouls La Parka, and the referee doesn't see it, so he makes the three count.

Winners: Electroshock, Kenzo Suzuki & Bobby Lashley

*Pretaped Segment: Konnan is in front of the AAA office, to look for Joaquin Roldan. he brags about how he destroyed him at TM 16, mainly his nose. Konnan tells Ciber the match was unfaitr, because Tirantes Jr. made the count, when Tirantes Sr. was the referee of the match. Konnan bows to take the title himself from Ciber, and warns Roldan to not mess with him. On the other hand, Roldan is in a hospital. He claims that he was attacked when he turned his back, and only a coward does that. All of his injuries will be avenged, and it is Konnan's beginning of the end.

*Pretaped Segment: Jesus Zuniga interviews Cibernetico and Joaquin Roldan. Ciber calls Konnan a frustrated person, who is still trapped in the 90's. Konnan used to be the star, but now it is Cibernetico. Roldan also complains about how Konnan is a coward, who attacks people on their backs. Cibernetcio says he's worried about real wrestlers like Zorro and Mesias, but not about an oldie like Konnan. Roldan is very upset about the way Zorro and Konnan acted during the match, and wants Konnan to meet him face to face, instead of another cheapshot to his back.

*Full Replay of the Zorro/Cibernetcio match for the AAA Heavyweight title. Roldan's nose was broken during the match by Konnan, but at the end, Cibernetico retained the title.

*Pretaped Segment: The interview continues, and they atlk about Konnan's referee shirt, which was illegal. Roldan didn't want Zorro to steal the title in such am unfair way, so he grabbed the kendo stick to hit Zorro. Cibernetico calls the match just, and justice was executed. Cibernetico says he's addicted to the pain of others, and Roldan claims Konnan is suspended for now, since he does have a contract with AAA. Roldan also talks about his injuries, which also affected teeth and mouth. Cibernetico will keep the facial expressions of Konnan and Zorro in his heart forever. It's almost like an orgasm for Ciber to see Zorro and Konnan suffer.

2) 15-Minute Street Fight
Mesias vs. Vampiro

-First Fall: Both men open with hard chops on each other. More blows from both men, until Vampiro decied to bring aluminum boxes. Mesias smashes Vampiro's neck through the ropes, and uses a cookie sheet to attack him. Mesias brings in a ladder to punish the Canadian. Mesias sets the ladder horizontally on the turnbuckle, but Vampiro smashes Mesias' forehead on the ladder. Vampiro uses a chair to attack Mesias. Momentum shifts, and now Vampiro is on the offense. Mesias uses another aluminum box and a chair to keep Vampiro down. Mesias powerbombs Vampiro and rips his shirt off. Mesias grabs a pair of large neon lightbulbs, and breaks them on Vampiro's back! Mesias grabs another par of lightnulbs, but this time the break on Vampiro's right leg. Vampiro is bleeding buckets from his back, and Mesias uses a glass from the bulbs to open Vampiro's forehead. One of the glasses got inside Vampiro's left hand. Mesias sets two tables at ringside, but Vampiro makes the comeback with a Spinning Kick. Mesias tries another Powerbomb, but Vampiro backdrops him into the broken glass. La Secta arrives to attack Vampiro. Ozz holds Vampiro, and Mesias prepares a FIREBALL. Vampiro dodges, and Ozz gets burned by Mesias. Vampiro goes to the announce table, and hits Arturo Rivera. Vampiro drives Mesias, and both men break the tables at ringside. The 15 minutes have expired.

Winner: DRAW

-Aftermath: Mesias and Vampiro continue to beat each other. Arturo Rivera now claims he's willing to put his hair on the line against Vampiro.

FINAL COMMENTS: Overall, a regular show. If they only had two matches left, why making this a three hour show? The interviews were too long, and I almost fell asleep. I didn't like the way AAA used Silver King. This guy has his own hierarchy, so why did they give him that gimmick. He used "Bad Medicine" as his entrance song, which is Dr. Wagner's theme. He dressed like Wagner, and the only things missing were the taunts of his brother. I insist, Silver must have his own character, and not his brother's. The Vampiro/Mesias was a complete bloodbath, and nothing big regarding in-ring performance. What else can you expect from Vampiro, when Mesias dragged him the entire match.
