The announcers welcome us to the show from Acapulco. They show a summary of last week's show. Ayako Hamada joined the Foreign Legion, and Vampiro was assaulted by Mesias, while La Parka and Silver King lost to the Legion. The fat version of the Cain and Abel feud continued, Chessman lost to Dark Ozz, and his anger problems are affecting his relationship with Cibernetico. The big news was Konnan beign suspended by Joaquin Roldan. For this show, a Fatal Four Way Steel Cage match, Ciber teams with Elegido, and more.
*Pretaped Segment: Fabi, Estrellita and Sexy Star are talking in their locker room, and they discuss how important family is. Sexy touches and grabs the Reina de Reinas belt, but Fabi removes the belt from her.
1) Ayako Hamada, La Diabolica & La Hechicera vs. Fabi Apache, Estrellita & Sexy Star
-First Fall: The heels immediately attack the tecnicas, and the triple team assault begins. Both teams return to their corners, but the rudas still mantain advantage over the tecnicas. The rudas begin to accidentally hit each other, anbd the tecnicas capitalize to make the comeback. Hechicera lands outside, and Sexy hits a Silla off the apron. Diabolica also flies with a Hilo over the top rope, and Estrellita closes with a Tornillo on every lady outside. In the ring, Ayako misses a Moonsault, and Fabi hits the Shining Wizard for a two count. Fabi climbs the top, but Ayako delivers a Superplex. Ayako delivers a roundhouse kick to Fabi's head, and hits a Fisherwoman Driver for the three count.
Winners: Ayako Hamada, La Diabolica & La Hechicera
*Pretaped Segment: Elegido cuts a promo, and warns Konnan and his Legion, that he will avenge what they did to Joaquin Roldan. he also addresses Pirata Morgan, but the self proclaimed best wrestler in the world attacks Elegido with a chair. Pirata says guys like Elegido must always remian at Pirata's feet, and he'll make sure Elegido remains down. You must respect Pirata Morgan.
2) Mini Abismo Negro, Mini Histeria & Jerrito Estrada vs. Octagoncito, Mascarita Sagrada & Mascarita Divina
-First Fall: Sagrada and Histeria open the match, but the tecnico dominates the Viper with high flying moves. Abismo and Jerrito also join in, but Sagrada tosses them out of the ring. both teams make constant tags, and apply equal amount of ofense. Divina does an Asai Moonsault on Jerrito, and Octagoncito hits a Corkscrew Dive on Histeria. Abismo also lands outside, and Sagrada uses a Diving Hurricanrana to take out Abismo. Back in the ring, both Octagoncito and Divina uses modified slides to pin Histeria and Jerrito. Sagrada does a Spinning Octopus Stretch to make Abismo submit, and it's over.
Winners: Octagoncito, Mascarita Sagrada & Mascarita Divina
*Noti AAA:
-Reminder for the show in Monterrey. There will be a Gauntlet match (I believe will be with Royal rumble rules), and the participants are: Mesias, Alan Stone, Dark Ozz, La Parka, Kenzo Suzuki, Zorro, Black Abyss and Joe Lider. Both AAA and the Legion will bring in a surprise wrestler for this bout.
-There was a challenge during the taping in Acapulco. Two hosts from MTV (UK version), did not believe that Lucha Libre was hard, so they accepted a match. Electroshock and Pirata Morgan taught these two guys that Lucha is no joke.
-Konnan is suspended for three weeks, according to Joaquin Roldan. (I thought he said Konnan was out, not suspended)
-AAA has already launched its renewed website at "luchalibreaaa.com"
-Video package for the return of Gronda
*Pretaped Segment: Alebrije, Cuije and Gato say they must cheer Porky for his match, and bring his spirit back.
3) Mexican Powers (Juventud Guerrera & Crazy Boy) vs. Hermamdad Extrema (Joe Lider & Nicho El Millonario)
-First Fall: These matches are getting me tired, anyway. Typical match of these four guys, with weapons used and a couple of spectacular moves applied. Lider mistakenly dropkicks Nicho, and the MPs capitalize. Lider climbs the top, but Crazy hits the C-4 off the top. Juvi tries a springboard attack, but Nicho pulls his feet. Nicho does a Legsplit Moonsault on Juvi to take him out. Crazy sets Lider on the top, but Lider fouls Crazy. Lider delivers a top rope Death Valley Driver on Crazy through a chair, and the three count is made.
Winners: Joe Lider & Nicho El Millonario
-Aftermath: Juvi is sprayed with "187" the signature of the Brotherhood.
*Promo Video: This one recaps the feud between El Brazo and Brazo de Plata. Porky is down, because his own brother is attacking him, but his partners always cheer and suppprt him.
4) Pirata Morgan, Decnnis & El Brazo (w/Guapito) vs. Brazo de Plata, Gato Eveready & Alebrije (w/Cuije)
-First Fall: Guess what, Porky is already bleeding. Brazo uses a steel fork to open the forehead of Porky, while Gato and Alebrije are attacked by the heels. The tecncios finally make the comeback. Alebrije does a suicide dive on Pirata and Gato hits a diving Plancha on Decnnis. In the ring, Brazo slams Porky, and pins him with a Big Splash.
Winners: Pirata Morgan, Decnnis & El Brazo
*Pretaped Segment: Konnan is talking to the members of the Legion. He wants Hunter to unleash the wild animal within him. Konnan wants Electro to finish Cibernetco, and even they make fun of Ciber's magazine cover. Konnan tells Jack to outperform everyone in the cage, because he is the best. Zorro is apparently sad, but Konnan tells him that his loss at TM 16, was Konnan's fault, because he focused more on Roldan than the title. Zorro says things are already done, and calims the title will be around his waist sooner or later. Zorro tells Cibernetico that there will be no more miracles. On the other hand, Cibernetico sasy he's dedicating his match to Charlie Manson. If the legion thinks they're controlling things, then think again, because Cibernetico is still around.
5) Cibernetico & Elegido vs. Electroshock & Head Hunter
-First Fall: Ciber and Electro open the match with hard blows. Electro lands outside, and Ciber backdrops Hunter. Elegido dominates both Hunter and Electro, and for no reason the cameraman shows an Elegido fan dancing. Hunter hits an Electric Chair on Elegido, and goes for a Moonsault, but misses. Elegido uses La Casita to pin Hunter, whule Electro submits to a neck lock of Cibernetico.
Winners: Cibernetico & Elegido
*Pretaped Segment: Konnan walks the streets of Mexico City. He tells Roldan that his lawyer is already dealing with the traps Roldan set for Konnan. La Parka cuts a promo about the cage match. He tells Mesias that he unmasked him, he tells Zorro that he owns the King of Kings title, because Parka didn't defend the title. He finally tells Chessman that his anger problems are taking over him, and claims he will win the match. Mesias tells everyone that the beast will be locked in a cage to destroy everyone. He tells Parka he must retire, calls Zorro a slut, and wanrs Chessman that he will have a worse fate than Vampiro.
6) Six Sided Steel Cage match
Chessman vs. La Parka vs. Mesias vs. Jack Evans vs. Konnan
Prematch Comments: Zorro, who originally was slated in the cage, introduces his replacement: Jack Evans. Zorro tells Ciber that due to his injury, he is out for three weeks, but threatens to return to bother Cibernetico. He also introduces the "true leader" of AAA: Konnan. He was suspended, but Konnan just inserted himself into the cage match.
-First Fall: Every man attacks each other to begin the match. Chessman tries to escape, but Mesias hits him with a chair. Evans is already bleeding, due to the attacks of La Parka. Mesias hits every man in sight and climbs the cage. Chessman stops him, but Mesias uses a Crossbody to take the HB out. Mesias tosses Evans into one of the cage walls, and finally leaves the cage. Both Parka and Chessman have Konnan cornered, but Evans uses their backs to reach the top of the cage. Evans hits the 450 Slash OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE to take Chessman out. Evans finally abandons the cage. Chessman locks the Crippler Crossface on Konnan, but no submissions are allowed in here. Chessman mistakenly superkicks Parka, and both tecnicos attack each other. Parka climbs the cage, leaving Chessman and Konnan alone inside.
Konnan climbs the cage, but Roldan's music hits the arena. Roldan arrives to tell Konnan that he was supposed to be kicked out of AAA. Konnan tells Roldan that he has sued both Roldan and AAA. For the moment, he is allowed to wrestle, thanks to his lawyer's work. Roldan tells Konnan he is full of surprises, and asks Parka to re-enter the cage. Konnan is attacked by both Parka and Chessman. Konnan is set on a table, and Parka does a Legdrop on Konnan, through the table. Chessman climbs and leaves the cage, while La Parka uses the door to leave the cage.
Loser: Konnan
-Aftermath: Roldan tells Konnan that was just the beginning of the end. He claims that all the Legion members will finish like Zorro: injured! Medical staff and Legion members aid Konnan.
FINAL COMMENTS: With the exception of the cage match, the matches were average. Both women's and mini's divisions are running OK for now. The Brazo/Porky feud has been weill built so far, but I would not expect anything big regarding in-ring performance. Any match involving the Mexican Powers and the Hermandad is just boring now. Both teams need new stables to feud with, because the hardcore formula is just overused. Finally the Konnan/Roldan feud is good, but we'll see how it continues.
