Matt Morgan talks American Gladiators
Matt joins the show and starts talking about TNA and the house show he
was on last night. Matt talks about hearing our show early in his career
and we have a mutual admiration moment.
Matt explains the DNA in Space story. It all came about because of someone
seeing him on American Gladiators. He thought it to be a rib at first. He called
NBC and they said it was legit.
Matt teaches us about his DNA Helix symbols on his tights. A little lesson for
Professor Morgan on DNA.
Matt talks about the great opportunity he's getting with American Gladiators and
he's thrilled to be on the show. He would have done this sooner if he realized
that the gladiators were picked by tryouts. He talks about how TNA and Gladiators
characterizations of him are the same and he won't let one ruin the other.
We mention the wrestling Gladiators connection with Hogan and even Raw GM
Mike Adamle was an original Gladiators host. Matt tells us he's too big to fit in a
Gladiator 'Atlas Sphere'.
Will there be a third season? Matt said that NBC wants one. He talks about the
great rating numbers they got when he was on and he's very enthusiastic
about doing the next season. Matt talks about the time in length changing during
the season.
We are curious if they practice before they tape the shows and Matt tells us about
the practice and how that led to him almost not being on the show.
We gush about Gina Carano (Crush on the Gladiators) and Matt tells us about another
Gladiator bad ass female to look out for.
We finish up talking about his wrestling hold's name like then "Hellevator" and the
"Morgan Mile High Club". We let him go soon afterwards!
