AAA on Galavision TV report
AAA on Galavision
By: Xavier Hernandez
Show aired on: 09/06/2008
The announcers welcome us to this very short show from Ciudad Madero, and they hype the "Alas de Oro" tournament. Video from last week's show: Mini Charlie Manson defeated Jerrito to move to the next round of the Mini's tourney. The Morenos beat the Apaches, and even challenges were made. The Chessman/Cibernetico saga continued (that's not true, they didn't even show up last week). The Legion was defeated by Gronda and company. For this show, a crappy Triple threat Tag Team match, and the super awesome "Alas de Oro" tournament, exclusive for high flyiers.
*Pretaped Segment: Part 1 of the meeting at Manson's house. Manson tells Cibernetico that the second reason for so many e-mails, is that fans don't want the Hell Brothers to split (the first one is Manson's recovery). Ciber says it's not up to him to fix the situation, and it's Chessman's fault. Chessman arrives and even ignores Ciber for a while. Manson asks Chessman to reconsider his decision and rejoin the HBs. Manson says his heart is broken because he can't do anything in a wheelchair, so he really begs Chessman to rejoin the group.
1) Billy Boy, Argenis & Baby Rap vs. Tito Santana, Tigre Cota & Rio Bravo
-First Fall: Very short match. The heels do a modified Carreta, but Rap does a sick Hurricanrana on the guy on top. The three tecnicos do simultaneous suicide dives on every heel outside the ring. Back in the ring, Billy kicks out of a Hurricanrana applied by Santana. Bily lands outside, and Santana does a Hilo over the top. Bravo also lands outside, and Argenis does an Asai Moonsault. Cota also hits a suicide dive on Argenis, and Rap does an AWESOME Shooting Star Press on every man at ringside. In the ring, Billy does the Vertabreaker on Santana for the cover.
Winners: Billy Boy, Argenis & Baby Rap
2) AAA Mini Championship (Qualifying Match #6)
Mascarita Divina (w/Mascara Divina) vs. Mini Kenzo Suzuki (w/Big Kenzo Suzuki)
Prematch Comments: Mini Kenzo says he's representing Big Kenzo in the mini division, and bows to win the first AAA Mini title. Divina says the title must be his, even if he has to beat the new japanese kid.
-First Fall: Sidewalk Slam by MiniKenzo on divina. Big Kenzo also joins the beating from ringside, but Big Divina goes after him. Divina does a dropkick to the head of MiniKenzo for the two count. Springboard Crossbody by Divina on Kenzo for the two again. Kenzo kicks out of a Small Package from Divina. MiniKenzo distracts the referee, and Big Kenzo tosses Divina into the barricade. Big Kenzo returns Divina to the ring, and MiniKenzo covers.
Winner: Mini Kenzo Suzuki
*Noti AAA:
-Second Part of the meeting at Manson's house. Chessman is still pissed off to the fact that Ciber had the chance to burn Mesias, and he didn't do it. Ciber says he has his own reasons, and will soon reveal to Chessman why he didn't burn Mesias. He only says that he knows Mesias since his childhood (really?).
-On "luchalibreaaa.com", there is a series of questions. Answer them rcorreclty and you win two tickets for "Verano de Escandalo", everyone living on both Mexico and the US are eleigible.
-Jesus Zuniga interviews Joaquin Roldan. He says the Konnan case will take along time, and hopes that Konnan will get desperate and will quit AAA. He's tired of Konnan, so that's why he made the rule of: "not booked for a show, then you're banned". Roldan is also giving Zorro a chance to wrestle, but he has a surprise in store for him. Roldan also discusses "VdE", and has no favorite for the title match.
-One more reminder for the keys for Antonio Pena's statue.
*Pretaped Segment: Billy is dressing, and asks Apache to leave him alone. The Apache sisters arrive, and Apache suggests to Billy that they should all go for dinner. Billy refuses the invitation, and tells Apache to invite somebody else. Fabi asks her dad to leave Billy alone, because they have a match next. Apache still asks Mari to investigate the whole deal with Fabi and Billy. On the other hand, Hechicera makes fun of the Morenos, but Oriental shuts her up. The Morenos accept her friendship, only to finish the Apaches.
3) Los Apaches (El Apache, Fabi Apache & Mari Apache) vs. El Oriental, Cinthia Moreno & La Hechicera
-First Fall: The heels start dominating the Apaches. Oriental climbs the scaffold and does a Moonsault on both Cinthia and Fabi. Hecchicera misses a corner splash, and Apache does his traditional chops on every heel in sight. The comeback begins and the Apaches are under control. Mari hits a Senton off the apron to take out Hechicera. Cinthia locks La Rueca on Fabi, but Apache breaks the hold. apache accidentally slaps Fabi, and the Morenos are back. Oriental hits a suicide dive on Apache. In the ring, Cinthia pins Fabi with a School Girl, after Oriental smashed Fabi's neck through the ropes.
Winners: El Oriental, Cinthia Moreno & La Hechicera
*Promo Video: This one hypes the participants of the "Alas de Oro" tournament. Everyone wants to win to become the best highflyier, except the Harts. The Americans only want to prove that AAA sucks, and they bow to destroy everyone, just to send Roldan a message.
4) Alas de Oro (Golden Wings) Tournament
Dark Scoria vs. Ultimo Gladiador vs. Aerostar vs. Superfly vs. Gato Eveready vs. El Angel vs. Extreme Tiger vs. Jack Evans vs. Teddy Hart
-Match: Simple, the last man standing leaves with the trophy. Everyone attacks each other, and with the exception of the Harts, there are no alliances. Everyone does some very impressive aerial moves to begin the match. Gato does a Corkscrew Crossbody on Tiger, and Angel does a Diving Plancha on Scoria. Evans does a Springboard 450 Splash on Gladiador, whowas outside. Fly also lands outside, and Hart delivers a sick Springboard Moonsault on him. Aerostar hits a Springboard Backward Senton on every guy outisde. Fly delivers his trademark Cartwheel Moonsault on Hart, and Gladiador does the Asai Moonsault on Scoria. Tiger sets Gladiador at ringside, and hits the 450 Splash.
-Eliminations: Hart pins Gato with the Hartbreaker, then pins Angel with the Canadian Destroyer and the Open Hart Surgery. Gladiador hits a Piledriver on Hart, and pins him with a Diving Legdrop. Gladiador gets stuck in the ropes, and Tiger pins him with a Diving Stomp. Scoria does a Corkscrew Crossbody on Fly, but gets pinned with a German Suplex from Fly. Evans hits a Northern Lights Suplex and a Fisherman Suplex on Fly, and pins him with the 630 Senton. Evans also pins Tiger with an innovative Bridging Backslide. Evans does his Cartwheel Dive, but Aerostar moves. Aerostar does the sick Drowsy Dive (or Suicide Headbutt), on the eliminated Hart, cutting his face in the process. Back in the ring, Evans misses his Corkscrew 630 Senton, and Aerostar pins him with the Stardust Senton (better name than Springboard Backward Senton).
Winner: Aerostar
-Aftermath: Roldan gives Aerostar the trophy, and yes, Evans did kick out before the three count. Unfair finish, but awesome match.
*Pretaped Segment: Alebrije and Gato are discussing Porky's depression, when Elvis shows up. Porky says he's all fired up, because it's his last match. Gato asks Alebrije to keep calling "that person". On the other hand, the Metrosexuales are making fun of Porky, and Brazo calls Porky a coward. Decnnis and Guapito say they finally found the third member of the group.
5) Los Metrosexuales (El Brazo, Decnnis & Escorpion Negro w/Guapito) vs. Brazo de Plata, El Elegido & Alebrije (w/Cuije)
-First Fall: Porky is already bleeding buckets, courtesy of El Brazo. Guapito misses the corner splash, and Porky uses his belly to start the coemback. The Metros are tossed out of the ring, and Guapito is splashed by Porky. Both Elegido and Alebrije do simultaneous suicide dives on Decnnis and Escorpion. Brazo brings a chair to attack the tecnicos. Both Brazos are left alone inside the ring. Porky slams both Metrtos, but Brazo attacks him. The remaining Metros join the beating, and the referee awards the DQ for excessive punishment.
Winners: Brazo de Plata, El Elegido & Alebrije
6) Hell Brothers (Cibernetico & Chessman) vs. Mesias & Dark Cuervo vs. Konnan & Kenzo Suzuki
-First Fall: Konnan is the replacement for Zorro, and Ciber is using Heath Ledger's makeup for Joker. Every team attacks each other, and even chairs are brought. Konnan is tossed into a steel chair, and Mesias rolls him, but the Cuban kicks out at two. The HBs finally unite and attack Konnan as a tag team. Mesias stops the momentum of the HBs. Silver King arrives to attack Konnan with a chair. Silver kicks Konnan out of the arena, and Kenzo is pinned with Mesias' STH. The HBs are back in action, and they attack the heels. The crowd is going nuts with the HBs, who are on fire. Cuervo is taken out with a devastating Spear from Chessman, but Mesias also spears Chessman. Cibernetico hist the CiberChokeslam on Mesias for the three count.
Winners: Cibernetico & Chessman
FINAL COMMENTS: Overall, a very good show. The matches were heavily edited, with the exception of the Golden Wings, but it didn't really bother me. Short AAA shows are always awesome. Baby Rap is just a phenomenal athlete, so keep an eye on this guy. Both Evans and Aerostar deserved the title, and I didn't like the finish. This may set a program between these two, which would be fantastic. Apparently thr HBs are back together, but the question is "For how long?". This may be the best feud that AAA has booked in the last couple of years. That's my humble opinion.
