AAA on Galavision TV report

AAA on Galavision
By: Xavier Hernandez
Show aired on: 09/20/2008

The announcers welcome us to the show. Summary of last week's show: Octagoncito defeated Mini Kenzo in the Mini's tourney. Gato and Billy won their match. The Harts did an impressive performance, but got screwed by the Hermandad. The newly formed AAA army defeated the Legion. For this show, the Minis will wrestle again, plus Aerostar and Superfly get chances to be in upper card matches.

*Promo Video: This one hypes the feud between the Legion and Superfly. Fly wanted to join in, but his partners and Octagon convinced him to stay with AAA. The Legion is very pissed off, and now they will make Fly's life a living hell.

1) AAA Mini Championship (Qualifying Match #8)
Mascarita Sagrada vs. Mini Charlie Manson

-First Fall: Manson played the heel in this match, using kicks and other dirty moves to attack Mascarita. Mascarita uses his takedowns and dropkicks on Manson, and he even does the Asai Moonsault on Manson. Mascarita gets caught into a Belly-to-Belly Suplex, and Manson pins him with a Plancha.

Winner: Mini Charlie Manson

*Promo Video: This one hypes the feud between employer and employee (Roldan vs. Konnan). No need to explain this feud, if you have been watching the show.

*Pretaped Segment: The Piratas cut a promo. They warn Billy about getting into a feud with them. They also tell Angel and Gato that the Piratas don't fly, but they can wrestle, and they will teach the tecnicos a lesson.

2) Los Piratas (Pirata Morgan Jr., Hijo del Pirata & Barba Roja) vs. Billy Boy, Gato Eveready & El Angel

-First Fall: Typical match, no big feud to call. The Piratas set Gato into the crowd, and the launch a Pirata into Gato all the way to the fourth row. The Piratas apply a variety of team moves to punish the tecnicos. The tecnicos manage to make the comeback, with aerial moves. Gato does a Phoenix Splash on Pirata Jr., Angel does a suicide dive on Hijo, and Billy closes with a Diving Plancha on Barba. The Piratas also do flying moves on the tecnicos. Billy hits the Vertabreaker on Pirata Jr. for the pin.

Winners: Billy Boy, Gato Eveready & El Angel

*Noti AAA:
-Matches for VdE: Ciber vs. Chessman, Tag Team titles in a Fatal Four Ladder match (you know the teams), the Minis Finals, the Mixed Tga Titles between the Apaches and the Morenos, and much more.
-Video of how Mesias attacked Chessman last week.
-Another video of last week's confrontation between Roldan and konnan
-Promo of the Harts, who bow to destroy the Mexican Powers. Can't believe they let the Harts cut such a strong promo, knowing that American fans also see this show.
-Some AAA guys will tour Spain during september.

*Pretaped Segment: Cinthia says she's the best, and challenges the Apaches for all of their titles. Polvo tells Pimpi he feels sorry for him, and even makes the hair vs. hair challenge. On the other hand, Fabi and Pimpi make fun of their opponents.

3) Cinthia Moreno & Polvo de Estrellas vs. Fabi Apache & Pimpinela Escarlata

-First Fall: Ladies after ladies, exotics after exotics, and so on. Pimpi actually throws Cinthia into the first row. Cinthia got her head opened, and she was bleeding hard, but returned to the match. Fabi locks an Armbar, but Polvo locks a triangle Hold on Fabi, and Pimpi locks an inverted Surfboard on Polvo. Fabi does a Diving Silla on Cinthia. In the ring, Pimpi does a Missile Dropkick and pins Polvo.

Winners: Fabi Apache & Pimpinela Escarlata

*Pretaped Segment: Gato was talking to "that person": Pimpinela (r u kiddin'?). Gato begs for Pimpi's help. On the parking lot, Konnan and the Harts find the car of Joaquin Roldan, and Konnan claims to have a great idea. Marvin has also returned to Mexico, and he plans on joining the MPs. Crazy is very happy to have such a reinforcement for the MPs.

4) Hart Foundation 2.0 (Teddy Hart & Jack Evans) w/Nikki vs. Mexican Powers (Crazy Boy & Ricky Marvin)

-First Fall: Marvin and Hart open with some nice chain wrestling and mat moves. Evans and Crazy tag in, for a more physicla contest. The Harts begin the double team moves on the MPs. Marvin kicked out of the Shooting Star Press of Hart. marvin starts the coemback with a Tornado DDT/Enzuigiri combo on both Canadians, and tags Crazy. Crazy does the Reverse STo/DDT combo on both Harts, and......

SIGNAL WAS LOST AND THE MATCH STARTED AGAIN, THEN THE ENTIRE SHOW (WTF?)

Winners: ????

SIGANL RECOVERED

*Pretaped Segment: Pirata claims he is a professional wrestler, and not a pro dancer like Elegido and Alan Stone. Decnnis supports the claims of Piratas, and tells Aerostar he lacks intelligence. Brazo still hates fat people and even says if you see a fat body around them (yes his own, he hasn't looked at a mirror yet?). Brazo makes fun of Porky again, and makes the the hair vs. hair challenge.

5) Pirata Morgan, El Brazo & Decnnis w/Guapito vs. El Elegido, Alan Stone & Aerostar

-First Fall: Awful match. Pirata destroyed Elegido, making him bleed in the process. Guapito joined the match, and got his share of the punishment. The referee also joined the match, and helped the heels. Pirata went to the announce table to sya he's a true legend, and not a dancer like the bleeding Elegido. The heels did excessive punishment, and a lowblow kick, and they didn't get DQed. Brazo tries to slam Aerostar, but gets rolled into a Small Package instead.

Winners: El Elegido, Alan Stone & Aerostar

-Aftermath: Decnnis got mad at Brazo for the loss, while Pirata continued the disection of Elegido, and took his mask off.

*Pretaped Segment: Roldan sends his assistant to ask Konnan about his car, but Konnan claims he doesn't know anything. Zorro just made a new friend: a horse. Konnan tells Zorro he's worsening every day, but Zorro claims he's talking to Enrique Torres , his new friend. Konnan wants Zorro to be focused, and Zorro claims he's feeling better than ever.

6) Cibernetico, La Parka & Superfly vs. Zorro, Kenzo suzuki & Electroshock

-First Fall: Another typicla and awful main event, with the Legion dominating. The highlight of the match, was that Electroshock destroyed Superfly, with several chairshots. Fly was bleeding harder than Cinthia and Elegido. Electro went for a Powerbomb, but Fly reversed it into a Hurricanrana for the three count.

Winners: Cibernetico, La Parka & Superfly

FINAL COMMENTS: Overall, a bad show. I didn't enjoy it at all. So I have three things to talk about:

Regarding the show, it was bad, because the matches didn't deliver like they sometimes do. The Harts/MPs match was the best match easily, but it was cut. By the way, Electro came to the ring wearing a jacket with the face of Lady Apache (CMLL wrestler, and his girl of course). The main events of these show are really boring, and there's nothing new to them. So the Chessman feud should make them better. Two strong feuds here: Electro/Superfly and Elegido/Pirata. We'll see if AAA is smart enough to capitalize on these feuds, or if they will make more crappy matches, instead of the direct mask or hair matches.

Notice, that I've been cutting the amount of play-by-play narration. For me, it's hard to call every match carefully, because this is a three-hour show. I do not have much time to do complete AAA reports anymore, so it's very hard to call these matches. For me, it's easier to call play-by-play for the one-hour CMLL show, than for the three-hour AAA show. Plus, I believe the reports are read because of the translated segments. From now on, I'll only do complete play-by-play for supercards (Verano, Triplemania, etc.)

I also wanted to talk about the controversial macth that took place on Friday at Arena mexico. Yes, Blue Panther vs. Villano V. It's a CMLL match, but this outcome shocked the entire lucha libre world. Panther lost his mask, and nobody saw that coming. But I'll write my thoughts on that one for the upcoming CMLL report.
