CMLL Guerreros del Ring TV report

CMLL Guerreros del Ring
By: Xavier Hernandez
Show aired on: 10/05/2008

The announcers welcome us to the show, and they hype the main event. The Casas Brothers will team up to take on the Perros del Mal.

1) Tony Rivera, Valiente & Mascara Purpura vs. Loco Max, Satanico & Sangre Azteca

Prematch Comments: Tony claims he will destroy Loco, and he doesn't care if he brought Satanico, because Rivera is more than enough for the two of them. Loco says Rivera doesn't even know what to do with himself, and can't understand why he's going after him and Satanico. Loco says he's willing to cut Rivera's hair with his own scissors in the middle of the ring, instead of a "hair vs. hair" match. Loco is crazy!

-First Fall: Rivera tries to attack Loco upon his entrance, but Sangre and Satanico aid their partner. Loco drags Rivera to the announce table, and then drags him back to the ring. Both Valiente and Purpura submit to Armpulls from Satanico and Sangre respectively. Winners of 1st Fall: Loco Max, Satanico & Sangre Azteca

-Second Fall: The assault continues, and Loco is attacking Rivera on the steel ramp. The rudos begin to focus on Rivera, but the comeback begins when Loco misses the Stinger Splash. The rudos toss Valiente out of the ring, but he takes advantage to hit a suicide dive on Loco. Rivera pins Sangre with a Sunset Flip, while Purpura applies a Springboard Back Attack on Satanico for the victory. Winners of 2nd Fall: Tony Rivera, Valiente & Mascara Purpura

-Third Fall: Satanico delivers hard knees on Purpura. Sangre enters the ring, but Purpura uses speed to trick the heels. Rivera also uses speed to attack the heels. Rivera applies an Armlock on Loco, but the heels make the save. Both Satanico and Sangre are kicked out of the ring by Purpura. Satanico is taken out by a Slingshot Crossbody from Purpura. Valiente tries his Brave Moonsault, but his right foot slips in the rope, and his face lands on the apron. Sangre received Valientes falling body on his leg. Very bad and unlucky spot. In the ring, Rivera pins Loco with La Casita.

Winners: Tony Rivera, Valiente & Mascara Purpura

-Aftermath: Both Valiente and Sangre are taken on stretchers. Rivera makes the challenge for the "hair vs. hair" match agaisnt Loco. Apparently Satanico also wants to get involved in the feud.

*Under the Ring:
-Diamante Negro says to be a luchador is a real career, and it's the same than any other career. He's also a Physical Education teacher, and the training for wrestling was very hard. His goal is to leave his own mark in CMLL. Diamante misses his hometown, his family and friends, but mostly his mother's food. He also misses his PE classes, because he loved to teach in schools. As an amateur wreslter, he suffered many injuries, and the doctors told him to retire, but he refused to give up his wrestling career. Diamante now swtiches to Dragon Rojo Jr., and he says the Diamante gimmick is something that he'll always keep in his heart. He was a fan of diamonds when he was a kid, and thats' why he chose the Black Diamond character. Dragom wants the youth to practice sports and follow their dreams, instead of falling in drugs. Just like Dragon followed his dream of becoming a wrestler. Dragon's hobbie is to read many books, specially those about self-esteem. Ultimo Guerrero invited him to come to Mexico City, and he accepted the invitation to leave his hometown. Dragon really feels sad when he is unable to wreslte, and that makes him cry. He cried during his knee injury, that left him on the sidelines for a long time.

2) Los Casas (Negro Casas, Felino & Heavy Metal) vs. Perros del Mal (Mr. Aguila, Damian 666 & Mephisto)

Prematch Comments: The Casas claim to the true baddasses, and now that Felino joined the Peste Negra, the Perros will suffer even more. Damian makes fun of the Peste, and calls them the Casas Barbies. Aguila also makes fun of the Peste, and warns them about facing the Perros.

-First Fall: The Casas immediately attack the Perros upon their arrival. Felino pins Mephisto with a hard kick to the chest, while Aguila submits to the Crippler Crossface from Negro. Winners of 1st Fall: Negro Casas, Felino & Heavy Metal

-Second Fall: The Casas continue their assault, but the Perros make the comeback. Aguila hits a clean Hilo over the top to hit Metal. Negro is pinned with a Legdrop/Backbreaker combo from Damian and Mephisto. Winners of 2nd Fall: Mr. Aguila, Damian 666 & Mephisto

-Third Fall: Both teams make constant tags to battle each other. Metal hits a Hilo on Mephisto. Damian accidentally kicks Aguila, and Felino delovers a hard Elbow Drop on him. Felino keeps moving and dives outside to take out Aguila. In the ring, Negro pins Damian with La Casita.

Winners: Negro Casas, Felino & Heavy Metal

FINAL COMMENTS: Overall, a regular show. Al, I can say is that a "heels vs. heels" match doesn't generate any heat at all. The main event was dull, and did nothing for me. It's strange because the main event matches of this show are usually good. Next week's show will feature Tony Rivera and Loco Max in a "hair vs. hair" match, will will definitely be a better match than today's main event.
