ROH returned to Dayton on November 21. Here's a slightly more detailed rundown of the show:

1.) Brent Albright defeated Davey Richards. Pretty good match, focused a lot on submission work. At the end, Albright was running wild so Bobby Dempsey (who was probably one of the 3 most over guys on the show) and Larry Sweeney interfered, with Sweeney distracting the ref. Dempsey grabbed hold of Albright so Richards could lay in some damage, but of course, Albright dodged and Dempsey took the shot. Albright then rolled up Richards for the pin. Afterwards, much Dempsey abuse commenced until Albright chased Sweet and Sour away and then yelled at Dempsey to stand up for himself.

Nigel McGuinness came out for an in-ring interview. He said he had already beaten both challengers for his world title (Austin Aries and Tyler Black) on Pay Per View Matches and he wouldn't risk the possibility of one of those guys getting a fluke pin on the other and thus ruining his PPV match with Danielson. Furthermore, Dayton was a sh*thole and didn't deserve a world title match. This was a pretty crappy bait and switch truth be told. Furthermore it REALLY deflated the crowd and hurt any drama the main event may have had since Nigel made it seem so unimportant. I guess if you really didn't want to have a title match here, then the show should have ended with the tag title match, which still felt important.

2.) Go Shiozaki defeated Rhett Titus, Sami Callahan, and Grizzly Redwood. Titus played cowardly heel, Go played this giant scary wrestler way out of the other three guys' league and Redwood played a clueless, possibly retarded, comedy face. A lot of the match was built around Titus playing a chicken and only tagging in when it was to his advantage, while Redwood was unaware of his tiny size and would challenge anyone. Finish saw Go pin Callahan with a suplex/elbow drop combo type move.

3.) The Briscoes beat Irish Airborne. Being hailed from Dayton didn't help the Airborne much in the eyes of the crowd. Relatively short squash (maybe 7 minutes?) for the Briscoes. The end was supposed to see the Briscoes try their springboard doomsday but one of the airborne (Jake?) cut Mark off mid jump. It got botched pretty bad and Mark look to hurt his knee. The Briscoes were undeterred and quickly pinned Dave with a spike Jay Driller, which was a cool move,

4.) Roderick Strong NC Chris Hero in a Light's Out Match. Light's Out just meant Last Man Standing rules, except apparently there could be DQs. Match wasn't as good as their June Dayton match, but we got some good drama at the end based on Hero hitting his Roaring Elbow repeatedly, and Roderick continuing to get up time and again. Roderick overcame the odds and killed Hero with a variety of backbreakers, as is his wont. Finally when Hero was down and out Sweet and Sour ran in and attacked Strong. Albright finally made the save and again nearly hit Bobby Dempsey but let him live. Crowd HATED the finish.

A very long intermission then commenced. Seriously it went like 25 mintues.

5.)  ROH Tag Team Champions El Generico and Kevin Steen defeated Delirious and Jimmy Jacobs. Delirious's deviant slave to Jimmy Jacobs is kind of cool in a bizarre way. He seems a little lost as to what to do without the comedy babbling and face style insanity. This was the match of the night. Steen worked really really hard to get the dead crowd into the match and it finally paid off. Highlight was Steen yelling at Generico to hit Delirious in the kidney then having to show Generico where the kidney was. Crowd then started chanting at the faces to work the kidney and it even carried over into the next match. Steen won after Delirious was distracted by Rhett Titus and Steen was able to hit a compact shoulder breaker.

6.) Brian Danielson defeated Claudio Castagnoli. Not bad, but disappointing. Claudio's heel turn hasn't really seemed to take as the crowd continued to chant "Hey" at him after every move. Match started off with a lot of intensity and both guys brawling around ringside. Claudio was in control a lot. Danielson won after slipping out of a Ricola Bomb and getting a small package.

7.) Austin Aries defeated Tyler Black and Nigel McGuinness. McGuinness did some comedy heel stuff, challenging both guys individually and then declaring he was better than both. Match was short but ok. Finish saw Nigel try a Tower of London on Tyler but Austin kicked him over the top rope, then hit a Super BrainBuster on Black for the pin.

Show was disappointing overall and nothing to go out of your way to see.
