Jack Swagger called out Teddy Long to name him #1 contender based on his undefeated record and his recent victory over Tommy Deamer. Tiffany who is with Teddy suggested Ricky Ortiz, who entered the ring and promptly made fun of Swagger's awesome lisp. Long called for the referee to start an impromptu match between the two. Starts slow. Hard slaps by swagger were followed by two nice dropkicks by Ortiz that knocked Swagger from the ring. He re-enters the ring and fell into a side headlock. Swagger escapes. They work a few minor spots in the corner the back to the middle with a few an arm bar by Swagger reversed into an abdominal stretch by Ortiz. Swagger escaped with a hiptoss. Ortiz, however regains control after a flying elbow. He then threw another strong dropkick, but missed a splash as Swagger rolled out of the ring. Ortiz follows, but runs into a hard clothesline on the floor by Swagger who rolled him back in for a powerbomb and pinfall in 5 minutes. Decent for what it was.
Backstage deal with Teddy, Tiffany, and MVP.
Fit Finlay comes out and challenges Mark Henry to "finish what [they] started last week." Henry came out with Tony Atlas and said how he takes the business seriously, and agreed to a tag match with Mr. USA Tony Atlas as his partner against Finlay and Hornswoggle. Finlay accepted. I am actually looking forward to seeing this one. Seriously. Isn't Atlas older than Abdullah the Butcher?
Match #2: DJ Gabriel w/ Alicia Foxx vs. some jobber in yellow and black tights. No ring announcing for either contestant. Gabriel and Foxx danced. Would that be the highlight of the match? Crowd took a dump on it within 10 seconds with "boring" and "we want Raw" chants. Gabriel gave him a giant swing, and after blocking jobber offense, gave him a shoulder breaker, then a flying elbow off the top for a pinfall in a 2 minute squash.
Match #3: MVP vs Matt Hardy (non-title match). Locked up in the middle. They both take trurns at hammerlock and then both revers some arm bars. MVP gets to the rope for a break and then throws a knee to Hardy's face. Hardy with a side effect. They end up on the floor briefly. Hardy tosses him back in and then gives a double axe handle off the top. Hardy has control on mat with a side headlock. They return to their feet, MVP blocks Hardy's attempt at a twist of fate and escapes to the outside. He returns to the ring. Hardy clothesline. MVP then tosses him into the ropes. MVP kick to Hardy's head knocking him out of ring. MVP follows. After returning to the ring again, MVP tries a pinfall. MVP gives him a neck breaker. MVP overhead slam. A couple pin attempts. MVP total control at the 8 minute mark in the middle. Hardy comeback. MVP looks like he messed up a spot. Hardy scoop slam. Hardy leg drop off the top. Near fall. MVP kick to head for near fall. MVP missed kick in corner. Hardy clothesline. MVP with back elbow. Hardy recovers and gives MVP the side effect. Hardy twist of fate and pins MVP in 11 minutes. Pretty enjoyable, but too short.
Best,

1. Cryme Tyme beat Snitsky and ??? in a dark match.
ECW tapings:
Matt Hardy v. MVP will be the main event.
1. Jack Swagger v. Ricky Ortiz-- Swagger comes out and says that since
he is undefeated in college and the WWE and beat Tommy Dreamer, he
should be the #1 contender for the ECW title. Then he calls out Teddy
Long w/ Miss Tiffany. Tiffany suggests Ricky Ortiz as #1 contender.
Ortiz comes out and makes fun of Swagger's lisp. Long orders them to
fight right away.
Swagger beats Ortiz clean with a powerbomb. Backstage, Long is
impressed but makes no announcement. MVP comes in to thank Long for
bringing him to ECW tonight and for signing him to Smackdown. Long
wants to know why MVP never met those easy incentive bonuses on
Smackdown and what his problems are. (Seriously, does anyone know the
story?). MVP says he'll fix his problems by beating Matt Hardy
tonight. We'll see.
2. Finlay w/Hornswaggle comes out. Finlay wants revenge for Mark Henry
and Tony Atlas' attack on Hornswaggle. Henry and Atlas come out.
Henry complains that Finlay cost him the ECW title. Henry declares the
WWE his life ("how he eats"-insert obvious joke there) and threatens to
hurt Hornswaggle some more, then demands a tag match with the 4 of
them. Finlay initally refuses, but Hornswaggle insists. Finlay
accepts and Henry laughs and leaves. Good luck with that one.
3. DJ Gabriel w/Alicia Fox v. ???-- no one in my section knows who ???
is and the "boring" chants start. Gabriel wins in a squash and he and
Alicia dance some more.
4. MVP v. Matt Hardy in a non-title match. Hardy pins MVP clean after
about 10 minutes. MVP looks frustrated as the show ends.
Thanks!
