We also have an article on changes in drug testing in California, with details, why pro wrestling was an impetus in the change, where pro wrestling fits into the landscape, what rules are in the process of being changed, how extensive testing will be as well as how it is expected to change again before the end of the year. We look at different reasons fighters are using steroids, what drugs are and aren't being tested for as well as other changes in how MMA is going to be regulated in California.

We also look at the interesting character California will have to determine whether to license given his background, changes in allowable content of different drugs that will be allowed, changes in fines and suspensions, and a major star who has made a decision, that if not rescinded, could not only lead to his license being revoked but the license of several other people after a threatening letter by the commission.

We also have a lot of first hand observations of the recent WWE creative process that will surprise a lot of people, particularly the role of Stephanie McMahon. We also have a new WWE signing as well as a few more wrestlers dropped.

We also have business notes from the past week and house show details.

We also have a look at the Ultimate Fighter season, the Junie Browning dilemma and bad precedent, a scenario that happened during the filming that was edited off the show because it was considered too gross for television, as well as the future of the different fighters from this season.

We also have notes on the next WWE CD, value of Wrestlemania, best selling DVDs, tons of news from WWE developmental including much talked about second generation wrestler and thoughts on the different talent including the wrestler Vince McMahon personally said he wanted brought up with a good storyline push.

We also have notes on the new contract Donna Goldsmith signed as WWE COO.

We also have coverage of the WEC show.

We've got our regular weekly features including a detailed look at the ratings of the different shows, including why Raw was up, what rating was far more impressive than it got credit for, as well as results from the major league arena events over the past week and major TV show reviews.

-- In what could end up being a huge night for pro-wrestling depending upon how his career turns out, Reid Flair debuts this evening at Vance High School in Charlotte, NC. He'll be teaming with his brother David (whose career did not, in fact, turn out all that great) to take on the Nasty Boys. Ric Flair will be in his son's corner, Jimmy Hart will be in the Nasty's corner, and Hulk Hogan, supposedly on his own dime as a favor for the Nature Boy, will be serving as guest referee. For more information you can head to highspots.com.

-- Steve Bradley, who passed away several days ago, was indicted on charges of possession of heroin on 11/20.

-- Dave is in Las Vegas for the De La Hoya fight tonight. Bob Arum has predicted somewhere in the 1.4 to 1.8 million buys range for this fight, and I guess we'll see. From talking to friends, I have the impression that almost everyone knows about this fight, but there isn't the interest in actually purchasing it that I saw for De La Hoya vs. Mayweather. I also heard the comment from a few people that they were interested, but not interested enough to pay $60 for it. I really get the feeling it won't break 1 million, or will only be right around that mark. With the economy in the shape it's in we're going to see some PPV numbers way lower than they should be, and it really started with the Lesnar vs. Couture fight which probably would have broken 1 million had everything not gone all to hell.

-- Rhino was hospitalized last night. He went to the TNA house show in Troy, OH and wasn't feeling well, and the commission doctor diagnosed him with high blood pressure and wouldn't let him work. He went to the hospital and the last we've heard it that he was feeling fine today and they were still planning on having him work the PPV versus Kurt Angle tomorrow.

-- For those wondering what happened to the Nate Diaz vs. Clay Guida fight that was scheduled for the TUF finale, it has apparently been bumped to January, perhaps UFC 94. Unfortunately, with that card already pretty much set, it'll probably end up relegated to a dark match. No buys.

-- The full list of Slammy nominees is now up at WWE.com. Click here to check them out. Not too much of note. Charlie Haas is up for all four nominations in Best Impersonation, which is funny. Neither CM Punk nor Santino are up for Breakout Star of the Year, which is completely ridiculous. And no, DX are not up for Tag Team of the Year.

-- Speaking of the Slammies, Jim Ross has never won one. He's up Monday for Announce Team of the Year which you'd think he'd win. His latest blog is up here.

-- Don't forget, the final episode of Hogan Celebrity Wrestling takes place tonight at 8:00 PM. The finale already aired for those who caught the 2:00 PM sneak preview. I haven't seen the show yet so maybe this person looked phenomenal on the final week, but I know from watching every other episode this season that this sounds like a robbery. There is also a JABRONIE BATTLE ROYAL on the show with all the previously eliminated competitors, which sounds horrifying.

-- Believe it or not, despite the poor sales Midway has announced plans for another TNA game in 2009. Of course, Midway has to survive into 2009 for this to happen, and they are in pretty dire financial straights at the moment.

-- WWE Smackdown vs Raw '09

-- Hemme writes: The TNA Knocked Out has just been released in the UK and they've taken Karen Angle from the cover and replaced her with Christy Hemme. Well, that's much better than replacing her with ODB like they did on Impact.

-- Ian Hamilton writes: During the interview with Eric Bischoff last night at www.theringsidelive.com, Eric mentioned that they have secured the rights to broadcast the show in several new countries. Canada (which I believe was already confirmed via Much Music starting Dec 14)... and the UK was among them.

-- TNA returns to Norfolk, VA at the Scope Arena on February 5th, and yes, Kevin Nash will be there. The next day they're in Charlottesville, VA at the John Paul Jones Arena.

-- Poll on Ultimate Fighter
Excellent 24.2%
Good 38.9%
Average 17.4%
Fair 6.0%
Poor 13.4%
35.5% of those responding didn't see the show

-- Poll on WEC show Wednesday
Excellent 11.1%
Good 41.0%
Average 26.5%
Fair 7.7%
Poor 13.7%
46.6% of those responding didn't see the show

-- Who do you consider TNA's biggest star
Kurt Angle 55.5%
Samoa Joe 13.1%
A.J. Styles 11.1%
Sting 8.9%
Mick Foley 7.8%
Kevin Nash 1.6%
Jeff Jarrett 1.4%
Booker T 0.6%

-- Hjaskater writes: I live in Norther Mass, and just got an ad during SmackDown that WWE RAW was coming to Manchester, NH on 12/29, and that the main event would be John Cena defending his World Heavyweight Title in a Street Fight against Chris Jericho. Obviously these dark matches can change at any time, I just thought I'd give you a heads up. -- Who's Slamming Who presents a night of live professional wrestling action tonight, December 6th, 2008 at 3-2 Count Athletic Training Facility, located at 323A Fairfield Road in Freehold, NJ at 8 PM with Cherry, Nunzio and others.
