WWE house show report 2-27 Nassau Coliseum

I went to the house show on Long Island last night. It was a lot of fun. The audience was all kids. And I mean ALL KIDS. The crowd screaming sounded like a Jonas Brothers concert.
Match 1
CM Punk beat William Regal. It was a less striking based version of their Raw matches, but still a lot of fun. Punk got a lot of chants.
Regal went for his running knee but Punk got out of the way and hit the GTS for the pin.
Match 2
Melina over Beth Phoenix for the Women's title. I guess when Santino's unibrow went away, so did his match time. The match wasn't that good at all, but nothing unwatchable.
When Melina won, she left, and then Santino took the mic and issued an open challenge. Out comes...THE BOOGEYMAN. Boogeyman ran into the ring, and chased Glamarella to the back. That was all the Boogeyman did.
That's a way to make a payday.
Match 3
Kane beat Kofi Kingston. They both got good reactions, but I don't know how the match was, as I bought food. The beer was overpriced, but the popcorn and soda were pretty fair (3 stars). I can only rate the food, as I don't feel qualified to rate the matches.
Match 4
Finlay beat Mark Henry in a belfast brawl. I think it was the best match on the show. Henry pulled the announcer aside and demanded that he be reintroduced as and olympian. American Dragon Mark Henry...
A lot of spots were based around a trash can and a kendo stick.
Finlay was so awesome here. The crowd chanted for tables, but they got a long headlock spot from Henry, and with his massive arms, it is probably worse than the table.
The ending had Atlas interfere and Finaly deck him with a trash can. Hornswoggle then took his jacket off and picked a fight with Henry. Quite the visual. I was hoping Henry would pull a King Kong Bundy, but alas, he just shoved Hornswoggle. Then, Finlay walloped him with his shillelgah (sp?) for the win.
After, Finlay and Hornswoggle brought in a bunch of kids, and Finlay led them in a bunch of dances. Hornswoggle and the kids then ran in a circle. A lot of fun.
Intermission was quite long.
Match 5
Jack Swagger beat Christian for the ECW title. Teddy Long comes out and introduces the Swagger. He gets a lot of heat. He demands that he shouldn't defend his title, but Theodore Long disagrees. Out comes Christian. CHRISTIANNNNN! At last you're doing jobs.
It was a pretty good match. The beginning was great with Swagger pawning Christian with his amateur stuff.
The middle was a little sloppy, and this is where Swagger still looked a little green.
The end was fun. A bunch of reversals, and then Swagger picked up the pin while holding the tights.
Christian got a pretty good reaction.
Match 6
HBK and Cena (and HHH) over Orton, Jericho, and Kozlov.
Cena was way over. Loudest pop of the night. HBK was way over too.
The heels entered first, and Orton said that Rhodes and Dibiase took HHH out before the match, so it would be a handicap match.
Heat on Cena. Then heat on HBK.
HHH music comes on, he runs out in his wrestling gear. I guess he changed after he got taken out.
HHH goes right for Orton, and they fight to the back. HHH I guess got the better of it, as he comes back with the SLEDGEHAMMER~!
Y2J is about to hit HBK with a chair. He sees HHH with the sledgehammer and is cornered by Hunter's sledgehammer and Shawn's foot. Fun spot. Jericho gets beaten up and takes the fall.
Bryan, you're right, Kozlov is worse live. But he did have new tights (black with a red soviet star on the back).
The faces pose to end the show.
It was a good time. Finlay was the MVP of the night. They'll be at MSG in April for Smackdown.
