We look at the death of Giant Baba, the ascension of Misawa as the top star in All Japan, the last few months of Misawa's life, his all-time business record, why he won the title for the final time, what had and hadn't been talked about regarding him retiring, as well as his last match and the aftermath.
We look at what exactly happened, the decision to keep the tour going and what happened at the next few shows, coverage of the death and how it varied, Jun Akiyama's vacating the GHC title, the ascension of Go Shiozaki, Misawa in ROH, the end of the glory days of All Japan Pro Wrestling, as well as how Misawa first got into the business.
We also look at what was covered after his death as his most famous match, the background of the match and the match itself, his days as Tiger Mask, the beginnings of Pro Wrestling NOAH and the first two nights. We look at the height of the Pro Wrestling NOAH promotion and the two biggest shows in its history.

--A number of financial web sites reported on the Trump buying Raw angle as if it was a shoot. Well, they did because WWE & USA sent out a press release like it's a shoot. It's one thing to do an angle on television, and even on a fiction driven web site, but to actually send out press releases to the media, I can't imagine that would sit well with the SEC.
--Today's Roanoke newspaper has a story on Tony Atlas returning home last night to where he grew up at http://www.roanoke.com/news/roanoke/wb/208656 The story noted that for the first time in his life, Atlas is buying himself a home. WWE had him do local media yesterday to promote the show. They followed him. For being 55 and former bodybuilder, his diet consisted of a full rack of ribs, and before the food arrived, he got hungry and got a hot dog. He said he was still sore from his 3:00 match a week ago with Evan Bourne. He said he's very happy in his role and just hopes he doesn't screw it up.
--Next week on Spike will have UFC matches from 8-10 p.m. Monday, a replay of Saturday night's Ultimate Fighter finals will air on Tuesday from 9 p.m. to midnight, and to replace Ultimate Fighter, they will air an old fight night a week from tonight, as well as two more hours of Unleashed on Thursday before TNA.
--UFC has launched a Japanese language web site to build for the debut of Yoshihiro Akiyama on 7/11 at http://w.ufcjapan.jp
--For the U.K. for the week ending 6/7, an Ultimate Fighter replay episode had 18,000 viewers, Raw had 46,000 viewers, Smackdown had 58,000 and ECW had 49,000 (thanks to Ian Hamilton)
--Today's New York Daily News had a mention that WWE sent out a press release about Trump buying Raw, and just said that it didn't happen. Robin Quivers on Stern this morning talked about it like it was news, until Howard was skeptical and someone on the show checked into it and said it was fake.

--Herb Dean will referee with Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir fight on 7/11
--Super Luchas reported today that Dos Caras Jr. has signed a three-year contract with WWE and will be going straight to the main roster. I think this is like Groundhog Day. Anyway, Caras Jr. claimed Friday night was his last match at Arena Mexico. CMLL must be thrilled to hear that news since they had been main eventing his feud with Shocker. He said he would use his name, but retain all rights to it, but WWE has the right to license it while he is there.
--Story on Kofi Kingston at http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20090617/JUICE11/906170315/-1/NE WS04 He said his favorite wrestlers growing up were Ricky Steamboat and Owen Hart.
--In the weekly cable ratings, USA was No. 1 at 2.6, way ahead of TNT at 1.8. With that kind of a lead, they hardly seem desperate for a gimmick to be No. 1. Raw was No. 5 and No. 8 last week, with The Closer on TNT, Royal Pains (the show on after Raw, although it's the first-run that's No. 2, but those overruns should be healthy), NASCAR on TNT and Burn Notice on USA as top four. It was No. 2 and No. 4 in 18-34, with Jon & Kate Plus 8 first, and Real World Road rules No. 3. In 18-49, it was No. and No. 5. For last week, My Network's average was 0.94 and CW's was 0.82, barely beating Telefutura. Top three shows of the week were the NBA finals on ABC.
