We've got one of our biggest non-double issues of the year of the Observer coming out Monday, and will be following it up next week with our Hall of Fame issue, our most talked about issue of the year, and the most purchased back issue most years. Our lead story is the most detailed look available regarding Jeff Hardy, his arrest, how his friends are viewing it, details of the law and why the charges are what they are, what on paper has area lawyers thinking he's in a lot of trouble, future in pro wrestling, WWE reaction, what led to the Sunday Breaking Point interview and how that is being reacted to by some internally. We look at why Jeff Hardy never followed up with a public statement, how this affects his other projects, a look back at how he got started in wrestling and his history with behavior that has caused him to get dropped by both WWE and TNA in the past. We look at Hardy's popularity, when it peaked, why he was being used in the world title picture even with two strikes against him, the publicity of the story and more. We also have a huge story on the new Hulkamania promotion, including both short and long-term plans, who is on board, a look at Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff's past, why Hogan brought in Flair as his opponent, plans outside of wrestling for the two to work together, WWE reaction, who Hogan & Bischoff are working with, Hogan's name value in Australia and visibility leading to the tour. We also look at Hogan from a legal front, the Graziano lawsuit, selling of his homes, divorce settlement, suing his lawyers and much more. The issue is available today on the web site for premium members as is a back issue from 1992, put up this week for premium members on the site. We also have notes on an ongoing power struggle with several veteran wrestlers careers currently at stake and the arguments on both sides on how to handle financial issues. We look at Kurt Angle's case with Trenesha Biggers (Rhaka Khan) and why most of the charges were dropped. We also look at what could be the biggest head-to-head battle of the year coming in a few months and how a U.S. station may have to make a choice on which big show to carry. This includes the debut of a national hero going against a traditional television blockbuster. We've got our usual coverage of the WWE Breaking Point, with poll results, star ratings, why the Morrison match was dropped, the booking of the Undertaker match, what the early business trends show as well as match-by-match coverage. We also have part two of our look at the 2009 Hall of Fame ballot. In this issue, we run down names like Seiji Sakaguchi, Kensuke Sasaki, Hans Schmidt, Sgt. We look at why so many of the biggest names in the sport, including Cris Cyborg, Urijah Faber, Gabriel Gonzaga and Ben Askren are headed to Spain. We've got a look at Linda McMahon running for senate. We've also got notes on the WWE Royal Rumble date change, story behind someone who was a major part of the organization for more than a dozen years leaving, Vince McMahon talks Chris Benoit, Mr. Kennedy on Randy Orton, a look at the decision to switch to one tag team and if it would make sense to have a similar singles champ working both brands, next three-hour Raw, Vince McMahon and announcers, Rey Mysterio update, Jim Ross honored, Show/Khali update, new PPV concepts, and a rundown on the WWE cuts over the past week. Our most requested issues in our history are: --Linda McMahon was earlier today No. 1 in searches on Yahoo and No. 3 on Google. Matt Lowry, who passed away yesterday from training injuries in Philadelphia, was No. 21 in searches. --Miami Today at http://www.miamitodaynews.com/news/090917/story2.shtml has an article on Miami putting in a bit for the 2011 or 2012 Wrestlemanias. Indianapolis was a few months back the front runner for 2011 and Toronto for 2012. Jose Diaz, head of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission, compared getting Mania to getting the Super Bowl. --Today is a huge day for WWE mid-level talent because the announcement of who is in the Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 video game which starts at 4 p.m. is huge because of the size of the royalty checks talent gets from the game. --Dana White did a radio appearance today where he guaranteed a network TV deal by September 15, 2010. He said he wants quarterly network specials as his goal. On Quinton Jackson pulling out of the 12/12 show in Memphis against Rashad Evans: "I hate it. I'm so mad at Rampage over this. Rampage is a guy that we've obviously taken under our wings the last couple of years. We really like him and done a lot of good things for him. For him to do this to me, and pull out for this goofy A-Team movie, I'm not happy at all. They're not paying him jack. He's giving up literally millions of dollars to play Mr. T. If you think he's gonna go in and say, `I pity the fool,' and he's gonna become a huge serious actor off that role, give me a friggin break." White also said that he's not on speaking terms with Jackson right now and that all talks with Jackson right now are going through Lorenzo Fertitta. --Dan Wetzel on the http://www.yahoo.com site in the UFC section has a good story on Kimbo Slice as the man with the target on his back during this season's Ultimate Fighter. --HHH will be in the corner with Floyd Mayweather on Saturday for his fight with Juan Manuel Marquez. Mayweather noted that HHH represents a "whole universe" of fans. HHH said, "Floyd Money Mayweather has shown WWE tremendous support and it is my pleasure to return the favor this Saturday by standing at his side as he defeats Marquez in what I am sure will be boxing's fight of the year." Evidently he's not that hip on boxing. Well, Marquez's last fight could have been fight of the year, but this one, a lot more unlikely. --John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler is official for the IC title on the 10/4 Hell in a Cell PPV show --Poll on Raw Excellent 18.2% Good 39.9% Average 21.5% Fair 8.3% Poor 12.2% 17.0% of those responding didn't see the show --Who do you think will have the more successful Australian tour? Hulkamania 38.1% TNA 19.9% Hulk's tour won't end up happening 21.0% TNA's tour won't end up happening 3.1% Both tours will be canceled 17.9% --The angle at last night's Smackdown tapings with Kane and Great Khali, and clean win at Breaking Point, was because Khali will be out of action for several months for another knee operation. He's needed it for a year or more. --In the cable ratings race, ESPN was No. 1 this past week at 2.8 (and this is before the first MNF game) to 2.5 for No. 2 USA. Syfy was No. 15 at 1.0 and Spike for the first time in years was not in the top 25. No. 25 was 0.7 so Spike was 0.7 or less. Raw was No. 7 and No. 9. College Football Saturday night on ESPN did a 7.4 rating for No. 1, followed by the MTV Video Music Awards at 5.9, Miami vs. Florida State football at 5.9 and iCarly at 5.1. Neither hour of Raw cracked the top ten in 18-49 for the first time in a long time. In 18-49, the hours were No. 6 and No. 7. --Tim Colwishaw in today's Dallas Morning News has a negative piece on UFC. The reporter said he doesn't find it entertaining, but says UFC beats boxing hands down in marketing and noted five minutes after trying to learn, Dana White invited him to cage side. He said he would rather watch Missouri vs. Furman in college football with his daughter. The reporter, after talking to White, compared him to Vince McMahon (that's a first). He said like McMahon, White's interviews are more entertaining than the sport they produce. Story is at http://www.dallasnews.com/ --Reader Richard Handley is looking to raise money for a hyperbaric chamber to treat his cerebral palsy. These treatments will make the difference between life in a wheelchair and a life of independence. If anyone can help out in his fundraising, it would be wonderful. For more info go to http://handleyhf.wordpress.com If you live near Beaumont, TX, there is a fund raising concert on 10/3 at The Barking Dog at 8 p.m. --Announced as the main event for the 9/29 Smackdown taping (this is the 10th anniversary show) is DX & Undertaker & John Cena vs. Randy Orton & C.M. Punk & Legacy. Interesting to see Legacy positioned higher than Jericho & Show. --TNA is once again working with Kyle Vanden Bosch of the Tennessee Titans for a charity event on 11/9 at the Wildhorse Saloon. We had it mislabeled, but it is fixed now. If you are a member and can't access any articles, please bring it to our attention ASAP and we'll try and get it straightened out. --Seth Petruzelli was on 104.1 in Orlando, on the same show where he did an interview that actually destroyed a promotion. He said he's asked for a rematch with Kimbo Slice, and then several different organizations have put up big money for it, but Slice always turned it down. He said he's been contacted by UFC about coming in. He said Kimbo's public excuse that his head wasn't in the fight after the switch in opponents is a load of crap, saying it happens all the time with fighters and it's happened to him three different times in his career. (thanks to Chuck Koelch) --Slice was on ESPN's First Take, building up tonight's show, and repeating that his head wasn't in the fight with Petruzelli but he's moved on and the fight doesn't bother him a bit. --Joe Parisella at
