Hello Mr. Meltzer, I attended the show last night in Bangor, Me, the match results are;
Opening match Cryme Tyme defeated the Hart Dynasty- good match, crowd was into everything Cryme Tyme did, they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Drew McIntyre defeated Killings with a double under hook DDT, Killings laid on the mat for a minute or so before being helped to the back. OK match. Koslov and Jackson defeated Tommy Dreamer and the Hurricane, when Jackson pinned Dreamer with the Rock Bottom, ok match, Hurricane looked good. Diva's match- Melina defeated ???, went to get something eat at this time, Melina with a split legged moonsault for the pin. ECW championship match Christian defeated Zack Ryder, this match along with the main event were the highlights of the night. Lots of back and forth action, Ryder looked good, but working with Christian helps. Christian retains with the unprettier. Kane defeated Finlay, decent match. Kane got a good pop coming out. Kane with the choke slam, but seemed to be some miscommunication as it took three tries to get Finlay up. Intercontinental championship match, John Morrison defeated Dolph Ziggler with the split legged moonsault. Ziggler did some mic work prior to the match, the guy has potential to be a star if brought along right, which may or may not happen. Morrison came out to a good pop, grabbed the mic and asked the crowd to chant Ziggles, um ok...? Morrison has the look, in ring ability, but is lacking in the charisma category. Good match, Ziggler got quite a bit of offense in and looked good here, good chemistry between the two, but Morrison retains. Main event World Championship match; C.M. Punk defeated Matt Hardy with the GTS. Incredible heat on Punk coming out, argued with a few fans, great heel mic work. Hardy came out to a loud pop. Wonder if the WWE has ever heard the pop he gets when he comes out, judging by his positioning, doubt it. Real good match,these two worked well together and quite entertaining. Funny chant during the match, "Punk needs steriods". Loud pop for the finish, a lot of fans were cheering Punk at the end. I would estimate around 80% of the building was full, overall a good show, wish the WWE would show up more than once every two years though. Biggest pops Matt Hardy, Christian, Morrison & Kane Heat Punk!!!!, Ziggler, Ryder Scott Daigle |
