I am watching Bound For Glory right now... WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG with the people producing this show!! They missed so many spots on camera... So freaking amateur. This is why I download it the next day and save my money.. I want to like it, but damn... THis thing is a mess. Thumbs down. Nate Shivers
Bound for Glory '09 Thumbs Up Best Match: Matt Morgan Vs Kurt Angle Worst Match: Knockout Tag Title Match Hey Dave, Wow, what a PPV, one of the best I have seen and certainly the best PPV TNA has done this year. I also think this show finally topped Wrestlemania 25. Everyone worked hard and the crowd was fantastic. Ultimate X Match- I hope everything is okay with The Pope's family, but it was a nice touch to see Motor City Machine Guns get the spot and they certainly delivered. I hope Christopher Daniels is okay though, one of the sickest bumps I have seen. It was good to see Red retain. Knockouts Tag Title Match- I really didn't have a problem with this match either, I just had to choose a worst match. The kiss was good, but why Earl would kick her out, I have no idea. Legends Title Match- I could sense it coming, but I actually thought Hernandez was going to take the title, but I am actually glad to see Eric take it. He has earned it with his mic work and now he can build from there. Full Metal Mayhem- I have to comment on Booker T, I have always been a fan of his. I started watching him in Global and saw he and his brother wrestle as Ebony Experience with the late great Gary Hart. I have had tremendous respect of him, but that respect dwindled a bit here. He is a man who forgets the spot he has in TNA, with the Main Event Mafia, a very cool collection of wrestlers, he hasn't put over many people in his tenure in TNA, yet he leaves the company without putting over anyone. If he truly thinks he can do better in WWE, all he has to see is where Christian is at currently. I can see him be on ECW TV, maybe he can reunite with Goldust. One thing is for sure, Book left on worst terms than Christian did when he first left WWE, so what makes him think Vince will treat him any different? Whatever, it was still a fun match and the right teams won in my opinion. Team 3-D can defend their tag titles in Japan and Beer Money can chase World Elite for the Tag team titles for awhile. Knockouts Title- It was a good match, but a bit confusing with Kim Couture being there, I just wonder if it was legit or if TNA will use her to feud with Tara, because it looks like they still holding off Tara Vs Kong one on one later. ODB needed to retain the title. Joe Vs Lashley- I enjoyed this match alot, the two delivered in a good solid match and Bobby had to win, so I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch down the road. Abyss Vs Foley- Monsters Ball Match- Wow some sick bumps, and this was the best Foley has looked since his match with Sting. I still want to see Father James Mitchell come back, I don't care if he helps Abyss or he helps Foley, I still want to see another match between these two and how about that crazy bump Daffney took? Wow. Matt Morgan Vs Kurt Angle- Clearly this was the best match of the night, everything clicked here between these two. What I truly loved seeing was how Kurt put Matt Morgan over at the end. See how it works Booker? The handshake just totally worked too and Matt is ready for the biggest push of his career. Sting Vs AJ- I think this match worked too, it was hard to follow Matt and Kurt, but they somehow found a way. The Pele worked, and I loved the emotion the crowd felt for the two. Nice chant of "This is wrestling" and my personal favorite, "You still got it" because I couldn't have said it any better, and the speech at the end was a nice touch to end the show. I also want to say Taz and Teny have tremendous chemestry together when they are announcing and with this being Taz's first BFG, you could just sense he was having a blast and it showed on the air. A tremendous show and now I am curious to see where they go from here. I recommend to anyone who missed it to check the replay of the show. Worth every penny. Kevin Gillman Canton, Ohio
Thumbs Up Best Match: Morgan vs Angle Worst Match: The Beautiful People vs Sarita & Taylor Wilde If you hated this show, it's time to stop watching wrestling. A rare TNA PPV with a main event devoid of controversy. AJ/Sting was Sting's best match since last year's BFG with Joe. I was so happy that no one turned heel/ran in and made fools of the fans right after their "this is wrestling" chant. Great spot fest with Ultimate X and a phenomenal performance from Kurt Angle in his match with Matt Morgan. The bad stuff (Women's tag, Foley/Abyss, Nash/Young/Hernandez) was at least kept fairly short. The Ultimate X tresses looked pretty rickety, have never noticed them swaying as badly. Might want to tighten that up before someone dies. Dave Crumbley, Toledo, Ohio Bound For Glory Thumbs Up Best Match: Ultimate X match Worst match: Nash vs. Hernandez vs. Young I was surprised Foley did not bleed during the hardcore match. I also thought Daniels had a broken neck after that sick bump. This was a damn fine PPV. Mike Malasev |
