I just returned from this show, which drew around 800 or so to Crosby High School in Waterbury, CT to see Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Ken Anderson, Christie Hemme, and Paul London.
There was a huge line of people there to see Bret, and the line moved very slowly. Bret was pleasant as usual, but seemed to not want to be there. Results: Matt Taven def Mike Bennet Christie Hemme def Alexxus Ricky Steamboat Jr def Jake Manning Jim Neidhart and The NOW def Bob Evans, Rob Eckos, and Thomas Ciampra Ron Zombie and Bull Dredd def Brian Anthony and Jalil Salim Paul London def Jason Blade to win the NEW Championship Mr Ken Anderson def Romeo Roselli
Bret Hart cut a promo after the Neidhart match, but due to the low volume on the mic, it was almost incomprehensible. Ken Anderson is really out of shape, and worked an awful match. He was still entertaining on the microphone however. He has a lot of work to do if he ever wants to appear on TV again. Ricky Steamboat Jr. showed a lot of potential, but still needs a lot more training. Paul London vs Jason Blade was good, but not as good as the match Paul London had at the last show. The show itself wasn't very good overall, and I actually expected a bigger crowd, especially with big names on the card like Anderson and Bret Hart, but it was still a fun time overall. Thanks, Geoff Gillott |
