Gaspard posted on his Myspace page that he did the interview several months ago (which is true), that the comments were taken out of context and that he and the interviewer, Michael Aldren, were laughing and joking and having a good time but took out portions of the interview. He did admit to sometimes disagreeing with the direction things go but understands why they are what they are and understands the great strides WWE has taken in preserving a PG rated show. He said the only reason the story came out was because he's auditioned for a movie role in Conan. There are a few things to note about the article. The first is, it was originally written and sent in several weeks ago, and editors softened the article. The article running had nothing to do with the Conan role and that line was added later. The interview is said to be on tape. --Gaspard did not end up getting the Conan villain role Ufaka. --WWE announced the wwe.com web site will now be selling tickets online for all its live events, which is a good move. It sounds like it will be a link to Ticketmaster as well as TicketsNow, a resale partner which will allow people to resell their tickets or purchase tickets to sold out events from people who want to resell. That greatly encourages scalpers loading up on major events that are expected to sell out, not that it won't happen anyway. --TNA announced the Extreme Sports Channel in the U.K. will air its monthly U.S. PPV events starting with Destination X. The events will be airing at Friday nights at 10 p.m., five days after the live event. Stephen Lyon has a front page story on it. --No major UFC programming on Spike next week.
