PWG All Star Weekend Night 2 results PDF Print E-mail

By Eric Paz

Night Two of PWG's "All Star Weekend 5" was held in the Van Nuys Armory on April 7, 2007. Here are the results:

Kevin Steen defeats Joey Ryan with a Package Piledriver on two standing chairs

Impromptu in a way, the 6 man tag was supposed to go up first but fat ass Ronin broke the top ropes by leaning on them. Steen and Joey fought without the top ropes. This was No DQ so it's not like they needed the ropes for much, and they mostly brawled outside. Lots of sick bumps and mayhem. My girlfriend liked it.

Ronin, TJ Perkins & Rocky Romero defeats Karl Anderson, Little Cholo & NOSAWA

Good match.

Davey Richards defeats Chris Hero with an armbar

More goofy heel Davey.

Colt Cabana & Top Gun Talwar defeats Disco Machine and Kikutaro

(Special Guest Ref is TARO.... funny spot where Kikutaro kicks Taro)

Top Gun: You kicked Taro!

Kikutaro: Yes, I'm Kikutaro!

Top Gun: No, you "kicked" Taro!

Kikutaro: Ohh... Yes, I'm Kikutaro!

Claudio Castagnoli defeats Alex Shelley with the rebound European Uppercut

Shelley took a nasty fall where I guess he slipped off the top ropes and landed face first on the steel barricades. He looked fine afterwards, though.

INTERMISSION

Kaz Hayashi defeats Pac with the Hayashi Cutter

In my opinion, this match was better than the Generico/Pac match the night before. Pac toned down his flippy dos and allowed Kaz to control the action. Kaz got a much well deserved "Please Come Back" chant.

El Generico defeats The Human Tornado with the Brainbusssstaah

Heel Tornado got a rapper named "Nickles" to do rap his entrance live. Tornado pushed Candice in the way as she got Generico's running boot in the corner, poor Candice.

Samoa Joe over Low Ki with the Muscle Buster

Great match, as expected from the two.
