by Andrew M Show opens with Cole and JBL talking about the Last Man Standing match at backlash, followed by some clips from fans with their thoughts on the match. And here comes the Boogeyman, with Boogeymancito in tow. JBL wonders if the Boogeyman has been breeding. William Regal comes out with Dave Taylor.
Match starts off slow, but Regal takes control after a distraction from Taylor. Regal with punches in the corner, and some knees to the face. Regal gets a two count off a back elbow before locking in a chinlock. Boogeyman comes back and the crowd is actually chanting for him. Boogeyman hits the tree slam and goes for the cover, but Taylor comes in and we have a DQ. Kane comes to the ring to make the save, but Regal and Taylor hightail it out through the crowd.
A video package plays showing Vince winning the ECW title from Lashley at Backlash. Teddy is in the back, apparently conducting interviews for an assistant. Dusty Rhodes is here, but Teddy thinks Dusty is over qualified to be his assistant. Dusty said he thought he was here for Teddys job, but Teddy says he isn't ready to hand over his job just yet. Dusty says he also isn't ready to be any bodies assistant. Dusty leaves as MVP arrives. MVP wants to talk about his american dream, the US Championship. He's been on the phone to his agent and attornies (PLURAL), and if he doesn't get another title shot he will sit out the rest of his contract collecting dolla-dolla bills. Teddy makes a match, MVP vs Kane and the winner gets a title shot. MVP isn't happy and he storms out. Sgt. Slaughter, Brooklyn Brawler and THE MIZ are lined up waiting for their interviews for assistant GM. Miz comments "I bet he didn't get the job, HOO-RAH". Awesome.
Paul London and Duece in their respective corners. London is still playing off the injury from a couple of weeks ago. Domino in control early with a side headlock, but Kendrick fights back with a crossbody and a dropkick, before tosses Domino outside and hitting a tope. Duece & Cherry provide the distraction and Domino cuts Kendrick off, and hits a knee drop for a near fall. Chinlock now, Kendrick tries to fight out but eats a flying elbow for another near fall. Body slam by Domino and he heads up to the second rope, but Kendrick gets his boot up. Kendrick makes his big comeback, Duece gets up on the apron and fights off London, but Kendrick hits the Sliced Bread #2 assisted by Dueces face and thats enough for the 1,2,3. Crowd goes nuts.
Mr Kennedy makes his way to the ring, and they show a graphic on the screen of "Mr. Kennedy's countdown to WM24". He cuts a promo again stating that he will cash the MiTB contract in at WM24. Here comes Matt Hardy..
Big chants for Hardy as things get stated. They trade a few holds and pin attempts early but Kennedy finally gets the upper hand with a back elbow and kicks away on Hardy on the ground. Hardy comes back with a few clotheslines and goes back to the headlock takedown. Kennedy fights him off and looks for a piledriver but Hardy backdrops him over the top rope. Kennedy is bleeding from the nose as we go to commercial.
We're back with Hardy getting a near fall on Kennedy off a elbow from the second rope. Kennedy comes back and hits a divorce court. Kennedy gets a two count before he goes to work on the shoulder. Hardy fights back but both men end up down after a double clothesline. Hardy up first and tosses Kennedy to the outside. Hardy gets shoved into the steps on the outside, and back in the ring Kennedy gets a two count. Kennedy with knees to the back and shoulder now before locking in a cravat. Up top now looking for the Kenton Bomb, but Hardy gets the knees up and gets yet another near fall. Hardy now with a leg drop off the second for yes, you guessed it... another two count. Hardy finally gets the Twist of Fate for the victory. Pretty good match, crowd was into it. JBL puts the match over huge.
A video package plays of the Last Man Standing match at Backlash, and we now have Teddy Long in the back announcing that due to popular demand, there is going to be a rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship next week in a steel cage. Maryse welcomes us back wearing almost nothing. YEE-HAR, here comes Smackdown's resident redneck.
They go back and forth for a bit, with Yang hitting a couple of nice arm drags. Helms tosses Yang to the outside and rams him back first into the apron. Back in the ring and Helms has a half-crab variation locked in but Yang makes the ropes. Helms now with a vertical suplex and a backbreaker for a two count. Yang gets the head scissors and starts his comeback, which results in a two count off a 'rana. Yang up top but helms catches him and drops him off the electric chair. Helms sets Yang back up on the ropes, but Yang fights him off and hits the moonsault press and gets the three count.
Batista comes out after commercial, wearing some terrible looking clothes. He said at Backlash he and the Undertake pushed each other to the limit, and then past the limit. Nothing was resolved. Batista said he wondered if it was worth all the pain and destruction, and yes it is. It's worth all the pain, all the blood, and he is ready to do it again next week. He made himself a promise to regain the title, and next week in a cage, he will. Mark Henry video package plays and he's going to cause more pain. Finlay's out now...
Miz takes control early and Finlay gets knocked out of the ring, but makea a mistake and chases Finlay outside and eats a clothesline. Hornsewoggle appears and hits the EYE GOUGE on Miz. Finlay beats the hell out of Miz for a bit, and I'm sure JBL is loving it. Finlay removes a turnbuckle pad, distracting the ref. Hornswoggle in now, and Finlay tosses him into Miz. Finlay misses a corner charge and eats the ring post. Miz in control now ad hits a Matt Sydal like clothesline in the corner. Miz goes looking under the ring, but Hornswoggle hits Miz in the ass with a golf club... i think. Anyway, the distraction allows Finlay to take over again, but not for long as he gets tossed outside yet again. Miz goes to work on the outside, but ends up getting dragged under the ring by Hornswoggle. Ref is counting, and the Miz comes out wearing Hornswoggle's hat, but walks away angry, letting Finlay pick up the duece by countout.
Undertaker promo airs. He said he took Batista's soul, his health, but the right to be the champion makes a man do irrational things. Next Friday, Undertaker will show no remorse, no mercy and when it's all said and done, he will Rest.... In.... Peace. Main event is up after commercial. TICK, TOCK... Here comes MY BOY~!
Kane dominates early with his power. MVP tries to fight back but Kane hits a powerslam for a two count. Kane works on the back with knees, kicks, and punches. MVP tries to get some offense in a few times, but gets cut off and booted to the outside for the commercial break. Kane is still dominating, but MVP finally takes over with a divorce court and some cross faces. MVP goes to work on the shoulder now as we have some "Lets go Kane!" chants. Kane walks into a boot in the corner, as Cole refers to MVP as a "primetime PLAYA". Kane hits a big clothesline and both men are down. MVP up first and goes back to work on the shoulder. MVP comes off the ropes and eats a boot. Time for Kanes comeback and he hits clothesline in the corner, before missing a second one. This allows MVP to hit the running boot for a near fall. Kane up quickly though and hits a side slam for a near fall of his own. MVP hits a swinging neckbreaker for two. Kane looks for the chokeslam, but MVP counters only to find himself eating a clothesline and body slam. Kane up top now and hits the flying clothesline. Regal and Taylor out now and Kane goes after them. Regal hits Kane with brass knuckles behind the refs back, and MVP picks up the scraps with the Playmaker. BALLIN'.
