Photo credit: Shawn Garrett By This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it It's a big week for pro-wrestling and MMA programming. ECW is tonight with CM Punk beating John Morrison for the ECW Title. I don't consider anything a spoiler that has been reported to death on WWE.com. Morrison has been suspended, hence the title change. Tomorrow is a WEC show on Versus (Richard Crunkilton Jr. vs. Rob McCullough), there will be a UFC hype special airing throughout the week on Spike, Thursday is Impact, Friday is Smackdown and Human Weapon, Saturday is UFC 75 from London with Quinton Jackson vs. Dan Henderson, and Sunday is some sort of TNA PPV. In other words, once again we'll have four straight Bryan & Vinny Shows this week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday night), so if you have $7.99 laying around and are looking for great value for your money, this would be a great week to sign up.We've also got a brand new issue of Figure Four Weekly coming out later tonight with a huge story on BOLA 2007, plus all the details on all the firings, suspensions, etc. that happened in WWE this week. A really packed issue. Regarding the rumors of Fedor Emelianenko signing with UFC, a number of sources on both sides are all saying it's not true. Nick Dinsmore, aka Eugene, is now looking for bookings from indy promoters. You can contact him at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it TNA did a 1.05 this week. I think that's the third week in a row. PayPal did a major upgrade last week and there have been problems ever since. If your subscription ends up canceled by PayPal without your permission, which has happened quite a bit in the past few days, you'll likely have to go to the My Account area and re-sign up using all of your old information. Your new subscription will start whenever your old one was going to end, so you won't be double-billed for billed twice for x number of days. I apologize for any inconvenience. Mike Swick injured a rib and if off the UFC Fight Night show on the 19th. Balls Mahoney will appear on the season finale of Who Wants To Be A Super Hero? on Thursday night. Randy Couture is the greatest man ever, and we'll tell you why. The cover story of this week's new 25,000-word Figure Four Weekly newsletter looks at his victory over Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 74 and why it was such an amazing feat. We'll look at the issues that Randy has to face ever day, how that compares to Gonzaga, and how Couture, once again, beat the odds and father time. We've gotten a ton of praise for this cover story in the past several days, which I greatly appreciate. We've got completely results and a full review of the PPV, including the dark match where Ranato Babalu lost his mind and refused to release a choke, and the much-anticipated Georges St. Pierre vs. Josh Kosheck fight. We've also got a look at the future, who is next for Couture and St. Pierre, the latest on Brock Lesnar and Fedor Emelianenko, injury updates including some serious, backstage and off-air notes from the show and the weekend, and tons more! We've also got an equally big cover story on the WWE's third biggest PPV of the year, SummerSlam. We'll review and recap the entire show, plus look at why some major plans changed, where they're going with all the champions, when certain decisions were made, and more. Other major stories include a look at Nick Hogan's car crash, what happened, rumors that night, how his passenger was doing at press time, Nick's driving record and recent tickets, WWE's latest response to Congress, what they are handing over and what they are not handing over, where I expect this to go, what Vince said when he was approached about the idea of an off-season, ROH star that Raw main writer is interested in, another ROH star John Lauranitis has wanted for awhile who shot down WWE this weekend, interest in former WCW World champion who hasn't wrestled regularly in years, new programming for 24/7, update on John Cena's father and where they may be going with this, who else might end up involved, Rey Misterio talks steroids, why this might bite him in the ass, MVP update, more international steroid news, Tommy Urbanski gets out of the hospital, how he's doing and how his recovery is going, the good news and bad news, his thoughts on Pacman, tons of notes from Brock Lesnar regarding UFC and Randy Couture, what MMA fans thought of it, what it actually was, how close he is to signing with UFC, payouts for the show, HBO update, Mirko Crocop's latest training regimen, the TUF VI competitors, Dana clamps down on steroids again, the changes he has made to payouts, tons of notes from several Dana Q&A's explaining exactly what's going on in UFC at the moment, latest on HEROs and their 154-pound tournament, another group looking to start up and lose millions, Ken Shamrock's son debuts in MMA and how he did, Hogan Knows Best update, tons of news and notes from Mexico including the latest on the CMLL and AAA big shows of the year, new Triple Crown Champion, full update on Bryan Danielson's serious injury this weekend, what happened and how long he'll be out of action, major Japanese legend coming in, ROH at the Manhattan Center notes, Vinny review MS/UWF 2-2, which he utterly raves about, plus full reviews of every major TV show including Raw, Smackdown, Human Weapon, Saturday Night's Main Event, Hogan Knows Best, TNA, Derby City Wrestling, and TONS more!
