UFC 76 from Anaheim, CA takes place tonight on PPV, headlined by Chuck Liddell vs. Keith Jardine. Full line-up for the show courtesy Dr. Keith:

UFC 76: Knockout - Saturday, September 22, 2007 - Honda Center, Anaheim, CA
1. Chuck Liddell vs. Keith Jardine
2. Thiago Tavares vs. Tyson Griffin
3. Mauricio Rua vs. Forrest Griffin
4. Kazuhiro Nakamura vs. Lyoto Machida
5. Jon Fitch vs. Diego Sanchez
6. Diego Saraiva vs. Jeremy Stephens (Dark)
7. Scott Junk vs. Christian Wellisch (Dark)
8. Michihiro Omigawa vs. Matt Wiman (Dark)

The idea is that if Chuck wins, they'll match him up with Wanderlei Silva on the big year-end show in December. Fight-wise, with the exception of the Lyoto fight (historically boring), this may be a really great show. For those wondering, Randy Couture, the king of predictions, is picking Chuck and, yes, Forrest Griffin. Now, granted, Forrest trains with him, but Randy is adamant about this pick, saying they know things that other people don't know, and he expects Forrest to beat him all three rounds. That's quite a statement to make. He's also picking Fitch over Diego. Chuck picks Chuck via round one knockout.

We will be doing live ongoing play-by-play on the front page of this website. Vinny and I will be joined by Mike Coughlin tonight for a post-PPV Bryan & Vinny Show running down all the fights in detail. Should be available for members by around midnight, PST.

For those wondering, no Wrestling Observer Live tomorrow night, although we should have news about the show in the next several days.

The City of Vancouver voted Thursday to no longer sanction MMA. Seriously, in 2007.

ROH Driven also debuted on TVN and Dish Network Friday. I have neither so I haven't seen the show yet. RAVE reviews for the main event, some saying it's the Match of the Year and others giving it five stars. Line-up courtesy ROH's own preview:

1. No Remorse Corps of Roderick Strong, Davey Richards & Rocky Romero vs. Delirious, Erick Stevens & Matt Cross in a wild Tag Team Scramble!
2. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Matt Sydal in a state-of-the-art bout!
3. BJ Whitmer vs. Naomichi Marufuji in a true battle!
4. Brent Albright vs. Pelle Primeau in a brutal fight!
5.Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Kevin Steen & El Generico for the ROH World Tag Team Titles!
6. Takeshi Morishima vs. Jimmy Rave for the ROH World Title!
7. Nigel McGuinness vs. Bryan Danielson in a match you need to witness for yourself!

Teddy Long is not dead. He had complications from ingesting Viagra. Don't yell at me, I don't write these storylines. They claim he's still in a coma. I liked my idea that she POISONED HIM.

They will be doing another series of 24/7 specials on HBO for Mayweather vs. Hatton. They did these for Mayweather vs. De La Hoya and that fight ended up doing the biggest buyrate of any PPV in history.

TNA is doing open tryouts on October 29 at the Impact Zone. Cost is $250. Yes.

Several DCW guys also got tryouts at OVW this week, and Lupe Viscara and Andrew Vain were both offered developmental deals.

After two straight wins, the Quad City Silverbacks were DEFEATED by the New York Pitbulls in this year's World Team Finals on the 20th in Hollywood, FL.

Mistico's knee must be OK as he worked Arena Mexico last night.

A student film I did last year is up on Youtube right now. For those that remember our buddy Mark from the radio show, the one who rants and raves about how much he hates the new ECW and how the TNA six-sided ring sucks, well, this was where I met him. He was the director.

And speaking of Youtube, the Ted the Trailer promos where he calls me out on Derby City TV are up here.

The announcement that Chris Benoit's brain was massively damaged and what that means headlines this week's new 27,000-word Figure Four Weekly newsletter. It's the biggest newsletter in our 12-year history, and for good reason. We'll discuss what doctors said about his brain, how it compares to the brains of other tragic sports stars, including many who have killed themselves, how the problems were almost certainly caused, and how the brain got into the hands of the Sports Legacy Institute. We've got comments from father Michael Benoit from many mainstream shows, with him speaking out for the first time on the deaths and what he'd like to accomplish. We've got info on Chris' diary to Eddy Guerrero and what was written in it, what raised red flags for Chris Nowinski about the case, whether Benoit had obvious brain issues over the past few years, what Chris had told people about the number of concussions he'd suffered, how many you can suffer before having major issues, how this affects the estate battle, whether lawsuits may be filed against WWE, what WWE had to say about it, whether brain injuries can lead to murder, what juries have said historically, what Chris' brain injuries are known to cause, other issues that may have factored in, what WWE has done about the injury problem in the past, what they could have done better, and what certainly needs to be improved. We've got a full report on UFC in London including results of all the fights, major thoughts on the Bisping/Hamill decision, whether it was a robbery, what the judges said about why they scored it certain ways, and the fit that Bisping threw during the press conference, including first-hand reports. Also, thoughts on upcoming major matches and the future of Mirko Crocop. PPV coverage continues with both the WEC show on Versus last week and the TNA PPV from this past Sunday night. We'll discuss what was good and bad about TNA, and list the five people in the company that realistically should be fired before the company moves to two hours, for the good of the wrestling business. Of course, full results, thoughts, and star-ratings on all the matches as well. In WWE news, we've got info on international expansion, why Vince is calling a board meeting, and lots on the illegitimate son deal. Is this the end? What happened to Kennedy? Also, the lengths they went to in order to fool people Monday, and the stern lecture that Steph and Vince gave the writing crew backstage. We'll talk about Ric Flair's future, whether King Booker is coming back and why he's gone, more insane ranting from WWE stars, who will be running what areas of the company when Vince steps down, more mainstream names coming out in drug probes, drug testing in developmental and what guys have been told, Kanyon rants about WWE, Matt Sydal update, and more. In other news, we'll tell you why Test is gone, the drug issues in TNA, ratings for the company, Goldberg's thoughts on a run there, a group trying to ban MMA, Pro Elite acquiring companies for no good reason, an MMA injury, some upcoming shows, Sherri Martel's cause of death, how John Graziano is doing after the Nick Hogan crash, how the Hogans are preparing for possible legal trouble, a fight in the hospital room he's staying in (seriously), CMLL anniversary show line-up, AAA Verano de Escandalo line-up, Misawa coming to ROH, and tons more. Plus, Vince reviews ROH: Bitter Friends, Stiffer Enemies, plus full reviews of every major TV show including Raw, Smackdown, TNA, Derby City Wrestling, and TONS more! Of course, as a member you also get full access to ALL new and archived radio shows dating back to 2005, plus all the new and archived (320-plus issues) Figure Four Weekly newsletters dating back to 2001. To sign up, please click here, or PayPal users can use the Quick Buy link at the top of this page to be online within 60 seconds. My newest Fight Network column is here with a look at logic (or a lack thereof) in pro-wrestling and particularly TNA.
