UFC 78 is tonight and we'll be there live with ongoing coverage starting at about 7:00 PM EST with the dark matches. Full line-up for the show courtesy Dr. Keith:

SATURDAY~! UFC 78: Validation - November 17, 2007 - Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey
1. Rashad Evans vs. Michael Bisping
2. Karo Parisyan vs. Ryo Chonan
3. Houston Alexander vs. Thiago Silva
4. Spencer Fisher vs. Frank Edgar
5. Ed Herman vs. David Terrell
6. Akihiro Gono vs. Tamdan McCrory (Dark)
7. Chris Lytle vs. Thiago Alves (Dark)
8. Joe Lauzon vs. Jason Reinhardt (Dark)
9. Marcus Aurelio vs. Luke Caudillo (Dark)

Due to the weakest main event in some time, despite the show's close proximity to New York City (about 30 minutes) it appears they aren't going to come close to selling out. Most of the cheap seats are gone but a ton of the more expensive seats are still available. I am officially predicting Rashad Evans for the main event, though Bisping most certainly has something to prove. We just posted a full preview of the show from Mike Coughlin elsewhere on this page.

We will have full coverage of this show in this coming week's newsletter (yes, we're not skipping a week even with the Dethtour~!), and for those of you wondering, with the exception of TUF and Raw, all of the TV reports and the Survivor Series report will be written by Vinny, so a big thanks to him.

Anchor will also be helping us with ongoing play-by-play of Survivor Series tomorrow. Since I'm on the road we won't have any Bryan & Vinny Shows this weekend, but we will have a post-Survivor Series PPV recap show with Karl Stern.

I should be able to get a Dethtour audio show up today for members running down my thoughts on Thursday night's match at the Davis Arena with Ted McNaylor.

No big news from the UFC weigh-ins aside from a shoving match between Bisping and Rashad that Dana White had to break up.

Dave Meltzer's report is here.

The two big stories from the show were that Sean Salmon, fighting for the 10th time this year, suffered a seizure after his knockout and there was great concern about his health. As it turns out, he was OK and suffered no serious damage. Frank Shamrock and Cung Le also issued challenges for a fight following the main event, which, at least locally, will be one gigantic fight.

Dana White claims he will be meeting with Randy Couture Tuesday to discuss their issues, and also claims Randy initiated contact.

This is the best thing I've ever seen. The new Georgia wrestling rules. Make sure you read about the rules of professional wrestling.

There is an audio interview with John Kolosci of TUF up here.

TNA did a 1.1 Thursday with 1.4 million viewers.

Rock's newest movie, Southland Tales, is out this weekend. This will not do as well as Game Plan. Roger Ebert butchered it in a review here, and he likes Rock.

UWC has it's 12th Annual Toys For Tots show on Saturday night, December 8th, 2007, at Burlington County College, in Pemberton, New Jersey at 7:00pm EST. The main event will be Reckless Youth defending the UWC Title against Raven. The originally scheduled Steve Corino is no longer a part of the show; Commissioner Joe Rules will explain why. Also appearing are Don Montoya, Rhett Titus, Bobby Dempsey, Shane Hagadorn, The Orphan, The Silver Bullets, and many more. At least 7 great matches, with MANY door prizes including those donated by the WWE, the Wrestling Observer, the DOI, the Wrestling Clothesline, the Torch, Big Vision Entertainment, and many more! MTV Real World/Road Rules Challenge's Kenny is also scheduled to appear at the show.
