Photo credit: mmaweekly.com By This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Monty Cox announced that Choi Hong Man vs. Fedor Emelianenko would be taking place on New Year's Eve at the Saitama Super Arena HUSTLE show. Swear to God, HUSTLE. They requested the fight and M-1 loaned Fedor to them for it. No idea at this point what that means for Fedor's planned February debut in Chicago. The fight has yet to be officially confirmed, but it is expected to be announced tomorrow. Fedor's brother Aleksander will also allegedly be fighting on the show as well.Congressional steroid hearing likely. We'll have much more on this in the newsletter this week, including some info about what others in Congress are thinking about it.
IFL announced that Jay Larkin was replacing Gareb Shamus as CEO of IFL. Yes, the Gareb Shamus that founded it. He has resigned but will remain available as a consultant. Raw did a 3.5 this week, same as last. RD Reynolds is doing a charity auction here to help support the Wheeler Mission. Thanks to everyone who has bid. Mike Mooneyham on the Fabulous Moolah December 7 at CMLL's last show of the year will be Shocker & Rey Bucanero vs. Toscano (formerly Tarzan Boy) & Black Warrior in a double hair vs. double hair match.
