By Oliver Dainow www.moonsault.de Yesterday I attended the WWE Houseshow in Frankfurt, Germany and just want to give you guys some Impressions from that very solid Show. It was my third Show in 2007 and by far one of the better ones. After a complete disaster in Colgone two month ago it was a lot of fun with the SmackDown! In Frankfurt. We kicked things off with Jimmy Yang and John Morisson. Both guys really know how to work a crowd and they did a tremendous job. Decent Match with a lot of cool spots to the outside, Nitros Corkscrew and finally Yangs Moonsault for the win. Match #2 was freakin’ Diva Action! Michelle McCool battled Victoria with the Special Referee Nattie Neidhart. Random WWE Womens Match. In all honesty – they tried and the crowd reacted to it. Job done! McCool pinned Victoria and was attacked a few seconds later by Neidhart. The Heels worked all over Michelle who finally was able to get the upper hand and fight both women off. Jamie Noble vs. Chuck Palumbo (/w Motorcycle) was next and Noble is just awesome in so many ways. I don’t know if WWE Creative thinks if they just put a Random Big Guy onto a Motorcycle they have a done a great job in Character Developing then. Same thing with The Miz. They worked hard on him with just putting him a f’n Hat to his head. Anyway - Noble acted great in this Match and won with a Roll Up when he grabbed Chucks Tights. Jesse & Festus beat Drew McIntyre & Kenny Dykstra in the first Tag Team Match of the evening. Nothing special here. Festus is impressive and can move very fast for a guy his sice. E-C-DUB was next and Tommy Dreamer beat Kevin Thorn in a one on one competition. Not that great but the crowd liked it so good job here, too. Now it was time for THE BEST MATCH EVER! 2 on 1 Handicap Action saw Khali going one on two with Finlay & Hornswoggle. This Match was so awesome. The Crowd was going nuts for Khali, Finlay and Hornswoggle. The big guy got booed big time while Finlay got cheered like crazy. If I would have told you that Fit Finlay could work as a face in 2007 you would call me a stupid Freak, wouldn’t you?! Fact is, it works and the Midget beat Khali after a Shillelagh shot by Finlay against the big guy. One word: AWESOME! After the Intermission we got Kane vs. Big Daddy V (/w Matt Striker). Just a complete Freakshow but the fans liked it so did I. V missed a chairshot to Kane and nailed Striker. Afterwards he got kicked the chair to his face by Kane. The Big Red Machine finished Mabel after the Chokeslam in the middle of the ring. ECW Championship Match saw CM Punk beat the hell out of Mr. “Tommy you can’t wear a hat anymore ‘cause it explains my Character now” Mizanin. Punk was way over and received huge CM Punk Chants all over the building. To this point by far the best reaction. The Khali Battle could have been on that level, too. Decent Match here and Punk beat Miz after the GTS 1-2-3! In the Main Event we got Undertaker & Batista vs. Edge & MVP. If you ask me to give you a Biggest Pops/Heat Table The Undertaker is the Number one with a huge distance to the rest. I got Goosebumps when the light turned off and the Undertaker Theme started. The Crowd was so into this match and everyone received great reactions whether we talk about Pops or Heel Heat. In the End Taker brawled Edge to back and The Animal countered the Playmaker to a Spinebuster and finally the Batista Bomb. Overall one of the better Houseshows in Germany this year and it really was a lot fun yesterday. Crowd was hot the whole night which always helps to make a show better. {plug} |
