Raw apparently had a bad show in Louisville PDF Print E-mail
By Ryan Ebelhar

The show was at the Broadbent Arena in Louisville, KY. This is the same complex as Freedom Hall and the KY Expo Center. At the same time as the show there was a Beef Exposition going on next door, so there were literally cows all over the parking lot and the show reeked of cow shit all night.

Signs everywhere said that the show was sold out, but there were several hundred empty seats. Also ushers were warning people that if they took pictures with their cell phones they would be ejected from the building.

William Regal came out to mention that there would be a divas match and that Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy would square off for the Women's Title.

First match was Super Crazy and DH Smith vs. Trevor Murdoch and Charlie Haas. Haas and Murdoch got the heat on Super Crazy. At one point Haas crawled under the ring and came back out with different tights and a mask on. This led to the people around me to wonder where Haas went and why this masked invader was not being disqualified. Super Crazy pulled the mask off and threw it in the air, which led Haas to look straight up and take a dropkick to the chest. DH Smith got the hot tag and pinned Trevor Murdoch with a suplex. Just a regular suplex. YAWN!

Paul Burchill came out with Katie Lea. They cut the same promo they do on Raw. He faced 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan. He defeated Mr. Duggan with a roll up. Katie Lea kept trying to take the 2x4 but the ref would have none of that. YAWN!

Brian Kendrick faced Snitsky. Kendrick had new music (at least it was the first time I've heard it, since he is never on tv). It was a long pointless match that was in reality a 10 minute squash with a very short comeback by Kendrick. No Paul London. Fans constantly chanted "brush your teeth" at Snitsky. YAWN!

Santino and Carlito faced Bob Holly and Cody Rhodes. The sound in here was so bad that I could hardly understand a word Santino said. I'm sure it was great but it sounded like static to me. The majority of this match consisted of Bob Holly and Carlito laying on the ground while Santino and Cody reached for tags. Cody got the pin on Santino with a DDT, which Santino sold like he had his head run over with a train. If you just can't get o enough of Carlito's selling, this would be the match for you. Except for the end, where as soon as the bell rang Carlito got up and walked off without selling at all.

Beth Phoenix and Jillian Hall faced Maria and Mickie James. Jillian Hall has always been billed as being from Louisville, except for tonight. That was left out so people would boo her. She sang a little and then Mickie's music hit. The majority of this match was Maria vs. Jillian. Beth tagged in and started beating on Maria. Candice Michelle's music hit and she ran out (in full ring gear) and stood by the ring, and Maria rolled up Beth for the win. Candice Michelle came all the way to Louisville, put her ring gear on, had the audio technician cue her music up, just to run out and stand there.

Mr. Kennedy faced Chris Jericho. The one good match of the night. Kennedy cut a promo calling the fans stupid because they paid to boo him, while he gets paid to listen to them boo him. Kennedy tried to throw his shirt into the crowd but Jericho caught it and wiped his nose and butt with it. Jericho won the match after kicking out of Kennedy's old finisher, and then tapping him out with the Walls of Jericho.

Randy Orton faced Jeff Hardy for the WWE TITLE! Randy Orton beat Jeff Hardy with the RKO. Just like always.

This was a Raw show with no Cena, HHH, HBK, or JBL. GOOD FUCKING GOD WAS IT BORING. {plug}
