WWE HEAT 500TH EDITION SPECTACULAR
(Commentators - Todd Grisham & Josh Mathews)

Hacksaw Jim Duggan Vs Jason Riggs: Duggan gives us a little speech to welcome us to the 500th edition of Heat. I'm just glad they didn't go for a three hour special. There have been some good episodes of Heat over the years. At least seven. I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I do know that none of them featured Jim Duggan. Riggs gets some shots in but Duggan wins with the three point charge.
Winner: Jim Duggan (2:25)

After the match, the Burchills come out to have a word with Duggan. Katie Lea calls him a great American hero, "and nothing excites me more than watching a great American hero getting beat the Hell out of by my big brother Paul". Paul spins Duggan round and knocks him down, letting us all know that "whatever Katie wants, Katie always gets".

JILLIAN SINGS: Jillian Hall wanders down to the ring accompanied by her awesome entrance music. Jillian has come out to give us a Heat tribute ballad. The special version of 'I Will Always Love You' involves D'Lo Brown, Raven, Naked Mideon, the Mean Street Posse (aah those were the days), Gangrel, Scotty 2 Hotty's worm and Charlie Haas's new 'gimmick' ("What's the deal with his mask? I don't get it" she sings). It's largely inaudible, but quite frankly brilliant.

Snitsky, Robbie McAllister & Charlie Haas Vs Val Venis, Super Crazy & Brian Kendrick: It's the Heat Allstars six-man tag. Val and Robbie start the match, and we've got fourteen minutes of show left. Can Jillian come out and sing again please? Val starts to work over the shoulder and tags in Crazy who gets a two from a standing moonsault before Robbie takes control and brings in Charlie Haas. Crazy hits a wheelbarrow bulldog and a springboard seated dropkick for a two count and a brief reminder of why I used to really like Super Crazy. Robbie breaks up the pin attempt before Kendrick mushroom stomps his way into the match, beats on Haas's shoulder and stretches it with a bridging hammerlock. Haas briefly gets the upper hand before Spanky ups the pace and sends Haas to the outside with a headscissors. Charlie disappears under the ring...

A re-outfitted and newly masked Haas gives Kendrick a belly-to-belly overhead suplex and Snitsky tags himself in, only to miss a legdrop. Kendrick gets the tag to Crazy who lays in the kicks to the Snit before a big clothesline turns the tide. The rudo team dominate for a little while, with Crazy absorbing the heat. Haas locks in a long abdominal stretch, which Crazy eventually hiptosses his way out of to make his way over and hot-tag Kendrick. Flyin' Brian (hey, that's a good name) runs wild; Snitsky accidentally boots Haas; Kendrick hits Robbie with a Sliced Bread #2 off Snitsky's back; and Val hits the Money Shot for the victory.
Winners: Val, Sup' & Bri' (About 14mins)

Well, here's to another 500.

Sweet baby Moses, what a thought.
