WWE HEAT (Commentators - Todd Grisham & Josh Mathews) Charlie Haas Vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan: Haas goes for his outfit change and mask quicker than usual. Goodness, how incredibly interesting. It seems that Josh Mathews doesn't know who Skeletor is. That saddens me. As does this match, and any match involving Duggan. The mask is removed as Haas escapes from a headlock, and as he tries to remask, he turns round into a three-point charge. Winner: Jim Duggan (Time 5:08)
Paul Burchill Vs Val Venis: The Burchills get some practice on the mic before Val comes out. Venis starts off well with some knees in the ropes, but Burchill starts to work over the knee. This continues for a while and it's fine. Val comes back with his half-nelson bomb and gets some knockdowns and a neckbreaker for two. Val's knee gives out on a suplex attempt, and finally he taps as Burchill stretches the knee over his shoulder. Winner: Paul Burchill (5:23)
Robbie McAllister Vs DH Smith: So this is a battle between England and Scotland, or to put it another way: Canada against Canada. Neither of these men tend to win many matches, so the result could be interesting. Not literally, of course. Smith uses his all-natural strength advantage to gain the upper hand, until Robbie necks him on the ropes and gets to stomping. Smith fights out of a Camel clutch and mounts a typical WWE comeback, then wins with a bridging German suplex. Winner: DH Smith (6:50)
Melina Vs Mickie James: The Bethemoth is out, and she interferes to give Melina control of the match. The usual physical stuff happens, replete with much hair pulling and squawking. Is it wrong of me to pray to Jeebus every night that Candice isn't recovered enough from her hilarious injury so Mickie gets to take her place at WrestleMania? That was a rhetorical question, the answer is clearly no. Of course, I don't really do that: I really pray that Candice gets run over by an Ice Cream Truck, and as she lies on the ground paralysed from the waist down and being interfered with by squirrels, she reaches in desperation for a Mint Feast that lays just beyond her grasp. Beth tries to interfere again, but Mickie elbows her off the apron, only for Melina to use the distraction to roll Mickie up for the three count. Winner: Melina (5:59)
