WWE RAW
(Commentators - Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler)

John Cena opens the show, coming down to the ring and cutting a promo that we've seen many times before. Of course, we've seen this whole segment many times before, albeit with a varied cast, as Big Show; JBL; Randy Orton; Umaga; and HHH all come down to have their say. Since when is Big Show the best orator? It ends in the usual way as well, as William Regal appears and creates an eight-man tag: Show, JBL, Orton and Umaga against Cena and HHH, along with Shawn Michaels & Ric Flair.

Chris Jericho & CM Punk Vs MVP & Carlito: Punk and MVP start the match. It's not great, mostly because Punk is involved. He soon tags in his partner, but Carlito comes in too, so the action is still less than stellar. After a break, some nefarious heel tactics puts the heat on Jericho, and all I'll say is thank Jeebus a ladder will be involved on sunday. Jericho avoids MVP's running boot in the corner, and crawls over to Punk, who comes in with some of his 'shit-style' moves. Jericho accidentally en zuguiris Punk, allowing MVP to get the pin. Not good at all.
Winners: MVP & Carlito (Time 9:57)

Mr Kennedy gives us some WrestleMania predictions: Flair retires; Undertaker's streak ends; and Mr Kennedy will win Money In The Bank.

We get a musical tribute to Ric Flair. WWE could do one of these for Stevie Richards and it would be good, so needless to say this was very good. We then see Big Show training for his 'Mania match. The highlight was seeing Show in spectacles.

Bob Holly Vs The Great Khali: What?
Winner: The Great Khali (1:50)

Ric Flair makes his way down to the ring. We're in South Carolina so needless to say he gets one of his better receptions. Flair starts off by complaining about how Shawn Michaels helped him to beat Mr McMahon last week. Ric reckons that by interfering on his behalf, he showed a lack of faith in Flair's abilities, leaving Ric to lose a little respect for HBK. Flair calls Michaels down to the ring, who defends himself by saying all he was doing was giving Flair a little back up. HBK starts calling Flair the Limousine Riding...etc, but Flair emphatically tells him to shut up, before producing the NWA Championship belt out of a bag in order to show Michaels what he grew up watching and what Flair fought for so many times against so many greats.

Flair tells Michaels that he picked him to fight at WrestleMania because he needed someone who could bring out the best in him and let him be the Nature Boy for one more night. Michaels promises to bring everything to 'Mania, and the two shake hands. Flair goes to leave, but Michaels reminds him of the story of Old Yeller, and likewise, no matter how much he loves him, Michaels will take Flair behind the woodshed and put him out of his misery. Flair isn't too happy with the comparison, slaps HBK's hat off and dares him to put him out of his misery right there. Michaels walks away.

The highlight of Floyd Mayweather's video peice is him slapping a Big Show figure, then we see some of Show on Conan O'Brien.

Here's a little story. I just had to type that whole Flair segment up again because my laptop froze on me. I also had written quite alot about the next segment. Perhaps my laptop froze because it couldn't take the bad language, or it feared that Mr Alvarez would be forced to censor me again. Put simply, Candice is out of the BunnyMania match: to be replaced by Ashley. Amid my vulgar but entirely justified typing, Santino pinned Maria in a six-person intergender tag match. Ashley 'wrestled' this match in skate shoes. Even my gay friend Chris has bought proper boots for his eagerly awaited comeback.

Backstage, John Cena chats to his best friends Val Venis and Cody Rhodes. HHH comes up, but he doesn't want a fight, he just wants to say some stuff. Cena says some stuff back. Tremendous. John Legend (Just John?) tinkles his ivories and lets us know how delighted he is to be performing America the Beautiful at WrestleMania. Thanks John.

Randy Orton, JBL, Umaga & Big Show Vs John Cena, HHH, Shawn Michaels & Ric Flair: Guess who comes out last? That's right: HUN-TOR. Thankfully he doesn't start the match, as Michaels and Orton get things going before a less than enthused crowd. As Orton gets HBK in a conveniently timed hold, Finlay comes out to the stage, drawing out JBL who gets twatted with the shillelagh before they brawl up the aisle to take us to a break.

Umaga beats up Michaels a bit, then Batista arrives to battle the Samoan to the back. Actually, quite a clever idea. Orton acts as cheerleader as Big Show does some damage for their newly halved team, press-slamming Flair. Cena and HHH both come in, but fail to double-team suplex Show, instead Show does it to them. Big Show gets fed up of Orton's constant yammering, and chokeslams the champ before leaving. Cena and HHH fight over who gets to beat up Orton, then take to beating up each other instead, leaving us with Flair, Michaels and Orton. Michaels knocks Flair off a figure four attempt, but a nutshot in retaliation sends HBK from the ring, allowing Flair to lock on the match-winning leglock.
Winners: Cena, Michaels, HHH & Flair (11:37)

Ric Flair ends the show celebrating and strutting on his own.
