I know around here I heard from more of my friends and acquaintances than usual who had bought it, so this looks like it'll be a big one. UFC bonuses last night were a whopping $75,000, which indicates the company also thinks this one was huge.- The AP ran a story on UFC last night that was headlined "Franklin retains welterweight crown with TKO of Lutter at UFC 83". Got picked up by several outlets including Sports Illustrated. How unfortunate. - Lopsided title win for St. Pierre highlights UFC 83 - St-Pierre stops Serra for win at UFC 83 - Ultimate Fighter did a 1.0 this week and 1.3 million viewers. - Our post-UFC show is up right now for members. We'll also be joined by Mike Coughlin on Wrestling Observer Live today to discuss the show and the rest of the world of MMA for the first hour. In the second hour, Keith Lipinski joins us to talk pro-wrestling, including the show last night in Chicago which he attended liVe. We'll have a full preview on the front page later today. - Don't forget, Raw tomorrow is a three-hour show headlined by a one-night King of the Ring tournament. - EliteXC signed Hector Lombard. - Mark Briscoe will be undergoing surgery to correct tendon damage and will miss three to six months. No word on what they're going to do with the tag titles. The storyline is apparently that he was STABBED by Jimmy Jacobs. - Early review gives Redbelt three stars - Killer Kowalski, 81, was hospitalized two weeks ago after suffering several falls. He is currently doing rehab. - Women's great Sue "Tex" Green fights for life
