Two somewhat major MMA shows this weekend. The IFL runs at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT for a card that airs live at 8:30 p.m. Eastern and 5:30 p.m. Pacific time on HD-Net. The three main events are:

*Ryan Schultz vs. Deividas Taurosevicius for the lightweight title

*Ryan McGivern vs. Dan Miller for the middleweight title

--If you're wondering about the mentions of Ultimate Warrior on TNA last night, we do know TNA is interested in Warrior and has made inquires. We don't know where things stand as far as if a deal is done. My philosophy is you wouldn't tease something on television unless you had the deal done, but TNA does feel the need for anything to get people talking. Warrior is training with Rob Van Dam to return to wrestling in late June for NWE in Madrid, Spain.

--5/24 in Anderson, SC at the Fusion Warehouse has Midnight Express vs. Rock & Roll Express, plus Barbarian, Buff Bagwell, Bobby Fulton and Manny Fernandez as well as an appearance by Ole Anderson. They are also advertising Buddy Rose in a match against a local DJ? Does Buddy know about that one?

--Quinton Jackson was on TMZ talking about Suge Knight getting KO'd. His version of the story is Suge was drunk at a party and was knocked out by a guy who was 5-10, and nobody was supposed to talk about it. They are claiming MMA promoters (and UFC is not involved in this) were offering $1 million for a New Year's Eve rematch in Las Vegas. (thanks to Anthony Sullivan)

--Regarding any rumors of Kimbo Slice vs. Mike Tyson, Gary Shaw said of course he would make the fight in a heartbeat but there is nothing to that story and he hasn't spoken to anyone representing Tyson. He also said right now they are not interested in booking Kimbo vs. Butterbean. He did indicate he's very interested in Kimbo vs. Tito Ortiz

--Prowrestling.net reported today that Sean Waltman checks out of rehab today in Houston. He actually stayed longer than first schedule and will continue to take part in an outpatient program. He said he's spoken with HHH about working behind the scenes for WWE and thanked Vince McMahon and Kevin Nash for their help.

--The Poughkeepsie Journal today has a story on Petey Williams, plugging tomorrow night's TNA show in the city. He noted he would not be wrestling due to his multiple fractures of the orbital bone. --TNA officially announced Victory Road would take place on 7/13 in Houston at Reliant Arena, with tickets going on sale on 5/30 at Ticketmaster outlets (thanks to Devin Cutting)

--More signs of at least our audience losing interest in this season's Ultimate Fighter reality show from the poll on Wednesday's show Excellent 19.7% Good 30.3% Average 24.6% Fair 12.3% Poor 13.1% 60.9% of those responding didn't see the show

--Carina Damm, one of the better known female fighters, tested positive on 4/3 for Nandrolone for her fight with Galaxy Productions in Los Angeles. She has been suspended for one year and fined $2,500.

--The NWA has announced they will be inducting a new class to the NWA Hall of Fame on 6/7 at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta. Thus far in their Hall of Fame are Lou Thesz, Harley Race, Sam Muchnick, Jim Barnett, Gordon Solie, Jim Cornette, Eddie Graham, Dory Funk Jr., Leilaini Kai, Ricky Morton, Robert Gibson, Lance Russell and Saul Weingeroff. Jim Cornette will host the ceremony.

--KCCI in Des Moines ran a story about 6-year-old Jakob Childs, who lost his leg in a horrible accident when a lawnmower ran it over. It noted Childs received a package of signed memorabilia from WWE, as he was a big wrestling fan.

--Carlton Haselrig, the former six-time NCAA champion in the 80s, who may have been the best college heavyweight in history, has signed with Elite XC at 42. He'll be in a dark match on the CBS card, with no opponent named.

--Lucha Libre on Galavision this weekend is Saturday at 4 p.m., a 3 a.m. replay and a Sunday replay at 4 p.m. (thanks to Dominick Valenti)

--Jim Ross appears on KFOR-TV, Ch. 4 in Oklahoma City at 4:30 p.m. today to promote the Raw show on 6/30 in Oklahoma City. Raw in Oklahoma City does not sound like a good night for J.R. or the esteemed Mr. Hodge

--When the New Orleans Hornets were introduced last night for their NBA playoff game, they came out to Undertaker's theme. This is the second time the Hornets have come out to wrestling entrance music, as they used HHH's music during this season (thanks to Mike Barton)

--The X-1 promotion has a show tonight at the Blaisdell Center Arena in Honolulu headlined by the return of 42-year old Egan Inoue facing Hans Marrero. It also features Ray "Braddah" Cooper vs. Richie Witson for the lightweight title, stripped from Shane Nelson who pulled out of the title defense against Cooper. It will air on Oceanic PPV

--There are supposed to be two new episodes of CMLL on Fox Sports Espanol on Sunday with one at 7:30 p.m. and another at midnight. There at this point is no show scheduled for next week (thanks to Jeff Sheridan)

--At the CHIKARA show at the Alhambra on Sunday, they will air the Philadelphia Flyers NHL game on the big screen until the bell time, and update the game as the show goes on. Plus, after the show is over, you can see Judgment Day from WWE free. the show features the Rey de Voladres tournament final as well as wrestlers like Sonjay Dutt, Sara Del Rey, Daizee Haze, Chuck Taylor, Mike Quackenbush, Claudio Castagnoli, Pantera and Jorge Rivera

--Sabu is scheduled for 5/31 in Arlington, TX for PCW against Mike Foxx. They have a show this Saturday as well
